Submitted the information below for a review, but wanted to warn you guys to save your time and gas...

I have been hobbying for a very short time now. I initially contacted Alexis in September, but we couldn't match up schedules. About 5 months later while viewing the provider ads on TER I noticed she was visiting DC again. Excellent I thought, I had only seen one provider since then. I called and we scheduled an appointment for a Wednesday evening. I texted her before leaving DC to make sure we were still on and she replied that we would have to reschedule for the next day. Whew good thing I didn't drive all the way to Dulles. So the next day she texts me if I am still headed over and I reply yes and she states she needs an extra half an hour. I say no worries it's a long drive anyways. Then about 5 minutes before the session should start she texts me stating that she "couldn't make it babe" at which point I was like seriously. Since I made such a time commitment driving out there I decided to call and text to see if she would be available within the next hour or so, while I go grab lunch. NO ANSWER!

Honestly guys save yourself the drive time and the gas.

Yeah I figured that. I did notice once or twice in the past that someone got a review through that mentioned they were also given the run around, but wasn't sure if it was on the reviews page or the message board. Either way I wasted about two hours this morning and figured I should help others out. What made it so much worse was that I kept giving her chances to get in touch and absolutely no response.

In case anyone was wondering, I am not the most experienced hobbyist, but I have read up on the subject and know how to conduct myself. For a moment I was wondering if there was a blacklist I was on like the TSA list or something. Then I realized I have only seen a handful of providers so far and almost everything has gone wonderful. I am very adamant about cleanliness; wear clean business clothes, brush my teeth, use mouthwash, don't smoke, don't take drugs minus the occasional tylenol, show up on time, have the money in a sealed envelope etc.

Sorry for the rant, just sucks to be a hobbyist today.

Is there a forum to find out which providers cancel at the last minute? In this instance I read the reviews and they all seemed fairly positive, but if a hobbyist cannot enter a no-show review then others will have to find out the hard way like myself.

It's a horrible feeling when you set aside a few hours and something like this occurs. I think the providers do it if a better offer comes along. You book an hour then she gets a call for 4 hours etc. Can't really blame her on the business end but they should at least call or text to cancel.

See if you can at least get an excuse out of her, but I don't think the review will be approved.

Yeah, that sucks. Has happened to me as also, but only in DC. I just assume they got a better offer at the last minute. Hope TER posts the no-show.

not so with providers. they have a blacklist site.  there was a recent incident where a provider said she would blacklist a hobbyist for an appointment cancellation.she did.

I dont think we hobbyists have a  similar site.

Remember, it happens on our end also. Just today, someone texted (no call) 30 min in to when the appointment was set for that "oops sorry, something came up" when I'd turned away a heavy handful of ppl that wanted that time as well. He only texted after a few texts and one call from me, even. Just think positively about the whole situation in general, don't hold a grudge, but don't give her another chance. Plenty of mermaids in the sea... . There will be a great girl and a positive experience around the corner.

Lets start with the fact that you say you've been hobbying for a short amount of time and it shows. The first day you contacted me you called and I told you my availability.  Which was 4pm your words were that you would keep me posted if you were able to get out the office and I told you i would keep you posted on my schedule. Therefor by you not setting an exact time and appt....my day continues and Im not gonna hold a time for somebody that tells me there not sure if they can get out of the office (as all ladies/hobbyist would agree).  You called at 3pm, which at the time i was with someone and I DO NOT respond to txt or phone calls during ANYBODYS TIME!!!! I asked you for references WHICH I NEVER RECIEVED (I'm sorry but by you calling and saying you spoke to me 5 months prior that doesnt work as verification, for some reason its hard for me to remember convos with a particular gentleman from five months ago.) Today you texted me TEN min prior to our meeting and YES your text was to FORWARD therefor I called off our meeting . I told you as soon as soon as i made the decision (which was right after you sent the text). I did not have you waiting in the parking lot (which means I was NOT a NO SHOW). I understand that new hobbyist have to start somewhere but with no references and then sending me a explicit text I can call off our meeting and not have to explain or go into detail on anything due to my own safety!! Hope I cleared it up for you and maybe it was a similar reason as to why the provider before me canceled on you! LEARN PROPER ETIQUETTE!

ALSO on top of everything that I wrote in the above text, I forgot to mention I DID try to call him and I reached a message for GOOGLE VOICE. All of our messaging had been done text/email I did not know he was using a google voice account. This was my first time trying to be newbie friendly and NEVER AGAIN!

Hey, don't give up on us Neebies!  
Some of us are great, I just had my first session last Saturday and it was wonderful ( and she was wonderful).
I thanked her for seeing me without references (I had been P411 approved though).
I think I was careful enough not to make any rookie blunders.

I just saw her last night for the first time.  You definitely missed out on a great experience.  I would contact her, apologize, and beg for the chance to go see her.  After one night, a ATF.  Review to follow shortly.

I believe Alexis behaved exactly as she should. You can't do those things. It's just as, if not more, frustrating for the girl to deal with. You can't listen to your mind when it wonders 'well, what if he was safe still' bc you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO be safe!! Also, the ambiguous appointment scheduling? You really can't be upset- it's important to both parties to nail down a specific date & time and communicate clearly. There's even room for tardiness in case of traffic, work issues, etc, so long as you COMMUNICATE CLEARLY. You'll figure it out.
