The Shoreham is good.  You also might want to try Kramers 3 doors from the circle.

I'm headed to DC next week and brunch is one of my favorite meals, right after the after work drink :)

What are the best brunch spots in town? I'm staying in Dupont Circle so anything close to there is even better! I'm mostly into independent places as chain food always leaves me feeling a little blah.

Thanks!

The Shoreham, just around the corner from you, puts on a pretty good spread for bruch.  Its daily breakfast buffet is first-rate, too.

... and try the Bomaby Club if you like Indian food, Tabard Inn for outdoor dining, or if you want "all that and more", the Lafayette Room at the Hay Adam's Hotel.  Appetizers (hot and cold) and desserts are buffet style, but your mian course is made to order.  Unlimited champagne, and mimosas.  The best!

I would suggest going to www.opentable.com, and see what you might find.

  Enjoy DC!

I can't wait to try some of these places this week and next! I really appreciate the recommendations- it's hard to be in a new city and know what's good and what's not.
