I do agree that is something to look for, however, the person posting the ad/ads can disable that feature, therefore making it important to note point one.
Thank you

There's always a lot of threads from hobbyists about ads especially on eros, for example, and whether they're legit or not. I thought Id share a few things you can do before sending your ?s out to the masses. Most experienced hobbyists are probably already aware of this, but hey, we all had to learn somewhere.
1. Obviously do a search for her reviews. If she's got nothing that's your first red flag. It's amazing how many times Ive seen threads like, "has anyone seen bigbootybelinda?" and a simple search finds her to be a major rip-off. You're already on TER, use it you your advantage!
2. Google her phone number. Lots of times you'll find a link to bad (or maybe good) reviews. But often times it will lead you to multiple ads from different girls all using the same number. Again, that should tell you something.
3.Does she have a website? No? if she's legit she probably does. (but not always)
4. Are her pictures amazing, model quality etc..? If so that should also tell you something. there are plenty of awesome providers who have amazing pics but if they look professional and too good to be true, well lots of times they probably are. How else are they gonna get you to call?
5. Do a tinyeye search on the pics. This will tell you if the pics are "stolen" or have been used elsewhere on the net. If you have a mac you can download tineye via the safari extension gallery. Once you do that click on any pic and do a tineye search and you'll know within a couple of seconds what the results are. This is a huge resource that often gets overlooked and is so easy to use.
If you do all these and still are unsure feel free to post a inquiry on the boards. But if the above research all comes back with nothing you're probably looking at taking a big gamble. All experienced hobbyists take a risk now and then but the people who get burned the most are the ones who simply don't do their research. This might not be for anyone and for some people half the fun is finding that diamond in the rough. If that's your MO then more power to you. This post is more directed to those of you that really want to know what your getting beforehand. I hope this helps you.
Happy hobbying!
PS, if anyone wants to add to these suggestions please feel free. This is in no way an extensive list. But rather, the things that work for me. I just figured I'd contribute back to the board which, over the years, has been a great resource to myself. Thanks.
Another sign is an extended visit to our area. I call BS anytime I see a girl posting an ad saying she is going to be here for 2 or 3 weeks. I am sure there are exceptions but all good/legit providers I know of stay 2 or 3 days, sometimes a little longer. The fakes almost always list 2 or 3 weeks. I just sayin'.
one more sign, particularly on eros, is $220 or $230 for the hottest girls. First of all, it is very unlikely that these girls are providers. Bbut with the 220 or 230 rate it is a dead giveaway that the ad is a rip-off.
the fakes tend to use rocketmail or ymail domains a lot with "generic" handles (e.g. "hot.sassygirl" without the girls name in the handle) and they tend to use periods in the handle (at least the ones i've seen....i am convinced that the majority of the fakes come from the same person)
heinous
I know it may come as a surprise but a majority of providers in every market around the country, including DC, do not have reviews on TER. TER only represents a particular subset of the provider market. Therefore, while it is true that connecting with a TER well-reviewed provider is a good way to avoid ripoffs, it is not true that just because someone doesn't have reviews on TER they are a fake.
So you make some good points, but sometimes people on this site take a holier-than-thou attitude – it's as if participating in TER automatically makes you into one of the hobbying elite. It's not all a bed of roses here. There are TER reviewed providers who use fake pics. Nor is it necessarily as frightful beyond TER as people sometime suggest.
So, yes, of course there are many ripoffs out there in the big wide hobbying world. This is an unregulated activity that attracts all kinds of scumballs. The absence of reviews on TER is little indication one way or the other as the whether someone is or is not for real.
I also look at Ht, Wt and measurements stats to make sure they are some-what in line w/ the pictures posted. You won't believe the number of times you can caught this screw up on their part. (the scammer are quick to post many ads without giving the measurement much thought). Also I am not incline to see providers that state thier location as MD/DC/NVa. Its too broad of an area for one girl to cover along with all logistics assoicated w/ moving from location to location.
For Indys , patricular new ones, I don't Red Flag the $220 or $230 right away as that is still $30 to $50 more than their share when they were associated w/ an agency. But the lower consultation fee certainly attracts a greater range of takers and I am less incline to be part of that stampede.
I leave the CL, BP and Cityvibe exploring to our experts out there ( you know who you are) and then I ride their coat-tail after they post a mini or review. Someday, I will dip my toe into those waters on my own, but those searches are the ones that take alot of know-how and gut instints.
With EROS, I took "db's" advise along time ago and made myself stop being an EROS junkie , as that place is a huge mine-field these days. Today, I only visit EROS maybe once or twice a week to find old friends or that rare new gem, while employing my developed jedi skills to find the right provider for my light-saber training.
"I only visit EROS maybe once or twice a week to find old friends or that rare new gem, while employing my developed jedi skills to find the right provider for my light-saber training. "
I love this, can I borrow your words and quote it in the future " Light-Saber Training".
May the FORCE with all the hobbyists!!!
Anything for a laugh or a smile. You have the permission of the Federation to go forth w/ the quote as you wish. If I was 10 years older................it would have been something from the Star Trek era that would have popped into my head, like "beam me up Scotty !!!" when the door opens and the provider you researched and researched turns out to be a "bait'n switch" . Life just isn't that easy yet, but maybe so in a 100 plus years. Or will virtual pussy be the next thing to cum our way ??????
