"and Dupont is just filled with so many people."
FALSE I WAS BUSTED IN DUPONT ON AN INCALL LADY COP DECOY STING
As an observer of the events of the past 2 years, I have concluded that Hotel hobbying anywhere in MD is unsafe, and should be avoided.
I would also have similar concerns regarding Tysons hotels.
The hobby has clearly been decimated.
The only relatively safer venues might be an incall apartment [with precautions], or outcall to a hotel room reserved by the guy.
Perhaps more ladies can arrange to entertain in safe apartment locations [although I realize that this is not entirely without risk].
Unfortunate but honest conclusions---simply my assessment.
are still relatively safe. LE and Feds no what is going on. However, they are not going to do much, unless there are major complaints. Tyson's hotels are far from residential areas, and Dupont is just filled with so many people. MD is just not safe; I still can't believe some girls are visiting some "hot spots" in MD
Saw a provider out of a hotel block from Tyson mall. As I left my appointment a hotel security walked right past me. I won't go back there to risky. Lower end hotels tend to be me less risky I think. Just out of curiosity do high end hotels train their front desk agents to spots hobbyist? I use to work at lower end hotel and we never noticed hobbyists coming in and out.
Hotels are fine. See girls who know what they are doing and who hopefully if they are visiting are spacing their appts apart rather then seeng clients bak to back. This has always been talked about. You just have to have common sense and k ow what you are doing.
Apts are NoT safer then hotels. Think about it. Neighbors DO notice if different men are coming and going all hours of the day and night. I live in a nice gated community and I don't really care what my neighbors are doing, BUT I DO just notice things. I notice if they are on vacation or if they have visitors sometimes. I know their routine, meaning they are gone by 8 and back in the evening. So apartments OR houses are NOt safer then hotels.
Hotels have more traffic and all minds of things going on. People come and go, they run to their room for an hour or two to change or check messages or freshen up. So it's not as wowed to see a guy go up and then come back down an hour or two later.
Both have it's pros and cons, as do most cities.
Happy Hobbying!!!

With apartments, one should move every 6 months or so. Eventually some nosy neighbors will notice the traffic. Low volume providers at hotels should be fine, and don't make the clients wait at the door.
Most 2 star and above chains have been training staff report/co-operate anything of interest,or of a suspicious nature.
Of course it would be suspicious to someone, with or without training, if a female customer has 5, 6 male visitors a day for 5 straight days. Low volume with short stays is fine.
....so I dunno about the hobby being decimated.
Outcalls to Tysons or pretty much and part of DC and most of NoVa is okay for me. Last time I did incall in MD (very few) was when I had an apartment out there. I've cut off outcalls to MD for a while though. I've thought about temporary incall apartmets too, imo an incall is as safe as the lady screen and her amount of traffic into it.
One of the problems I have with maryland is the hotels seem to be either minimal quality or inconvenient--or both.
I have had no such issues with hotels in DC & NoVa, though I have had issues with some of the ladies. To me the selection of a lady who knows how to conduct her business is more important than the hotel.
Personally I prefer to host at my place for several reasons, but I have no issues visiting a quality lady at her place. Often for ladies I know I will just add them to my reservation, or leave a key for them at the desk. With reasonable care and discretion I have never had an issue. In fact, at some hotels they have gone out of their way to make her feel comfortable as an extention of my being a frequent stayer. As an added precaution the ladies I do this with always look professional, and we have taken care of any finances in advance.
I am not challenging your assessment--so much depends upon the individual people as well as the circumstances.
I will only see one person on one day at a specific time so there is less suspicion coming from hotel staff.
The other important issue is the type of hotel.I don't mean star rating. In some hotels you can enter from the parking lot right to the elevator without going through lobby.Other hotels have the entrance somewhat separate from the front desk.if you happen to go when there is a conference or wedding there are a lot of people walking about making it easier to blend in.
Cameras at a hotel could be an issue but that would only apply if police or staff are actively investigating an incident.Hotels dont have people in dark rooms watching cameras minute by minute.
I think it would take some pretty careless activity by the provider to cause any real problems, and then only for herself.
I can hear the conversation now, "Miss, we notice that you're young and attractive and use a lot of towels... Are you a hooker?"
Unless she stays weeks on end, it's doubtful staff will see many of the guests as they approach/depart the room.
There's always plausible deniability. The worst I could picture is the hotel telling her that her business with their chain is no longer appreciated.
It would take a foolish hotel manager indeed to involve LE and risk having his hotel in the news that night.
As a hobbyist, I'm much more concerned with a sting than I am with the hotel or lurking LE.
I would also have similar concerns regarding Tysons hotels.

What I derive from all the posts above:
1.Nearly everyone agrees that the state of MD is off limits.
2. Agencies should also be avoided [whatever few remain].
3.Hotels in DC, Alexandria, and possibly Tysons are "safe", as long as the lady sees only 1-2 clients per day, she carts in her own sheets, towels, etc., and avoids the omnipresent cameras.
Who said the hobby has not been decimated?
from a few different agencies. Most in Tyson's with one or two in Dupont. However, no one has ever said anything to me yet. A couple front desk guys did say something, and it was a simple " Have a nice day Sir." I suppose if you fit the stereotype of a chubby, middle-aged, White gentleman, they might be more suspicious.
Probably that's why a good idea to stick with independent well known ladies that are know how to screen and are low volume... High volume will be suspicious anywhere!!!
Just my thoughts!

Through work, I have gotten to know about 50 hotel GMs very, very well.
Their take on things -- the more corporately run hotels tend to be more agressive about preventing providers from staying there and are quick to bounce them at the slightest complaint/suspicion. The big, monster hotels, like the Marriott Copley of CraigsList fame, are also tend to be too big for them to police effectively. Come on, the CL victim wheeled a massage table through check in and security did not raise an eyebrow!
Midrange, extended stay hotels --Courtyards and the like -- have much lower staffing levels and are less likely to notice visitors. Their clientele is more casual.
Boutiques and five-stars are much more favorable to providers. So long as no one complains, they dont see it as their business what goes on in their guest rooms. These hotels attract fewer families, more either hard-core business travelers or a cooler crowd who tend to spend less time in their rooms than average guests, so fewer ears to hear activities and notice passers by.
