aha, you just want to see my butt crack in that tool belt again, lol
your right, wandering south is doable too,

I was looking at the population reports by cities, and was surprised to see DC far down on the list, even below baltimore,
now before you yell, what does this have to do with the hobby, my point is, if Baltimore, and Philadelphia have lots more people in it, shouldnt there be more providers in those cities instead?
like, for example, eros has dc, and a section for Baltimore.

maybe I should get on the train north more often?

it's also about the money in the pocket.

and don't forget about suburbs. the census will give the figures for the incorporated city proper but i believe that if you include the suburban areas DC will come out ahead of Bmore.

It is about the city's boundaries. DC itself only has 61 sq. miles of land area, and a little over half a million people.

Montgomery County has about twice as many people, in about 8 times as much land. It is also the second wealthiest county per capita in the country.

If you look at the Washington Metropolitan area as a whole, it is 9th most populous and the wealthiest metro area in the nation.

So, looking statistically, you need to wander south more often than you go north. Or we could meet at the hardware store again.  ;-)

Well, who wouldn't? It is such a cute butt!

You can stay just where you are as far as I'm concerned.. I don't have the desire to travel the East Coast to get my dose of vitamin C!

I like your butt and wish I could see more

as of July 2008, the DC metro area has over 5.35M people compared to the Baltimore metro area with only 2.67M (or 50% of DC).  Philadelphia is slightly ahead of DC with just over 5.8M in their metro area.

Therefore, as stated earlier...stay where you are, we like you right here!!!

Commercially, many businesses consider the Baltimore and Washington area, including NoVA, to be one market, just like what TER does.

I've weighed all the factors, and have concluded that Cecilia needs to travel to the WEST!!!

As long as we don't get in a tug-o'-war...

She is such a little thing that she wouldn't stand a chance.

We might LEND her to you gents out West, but you have to give her back to us in the condition she left in... or we would have an issue...

LOL

Or like 2 Cardinals fighting over the same worm!!

But the taffy is better as it's sweeter and tastier than a worm... bom shicka wa wa...

Pure economics. The economy around the country is in yo-yo right now. With the DC Metro govt employer oriented population, the area remains largely immune to the same swings. Good for hobby.

You are like a ray of sunshine in my otherwise dismal existance. If you leave DC lots of men will be disappointed

I agree Chengster - Keep the rays of C's Sunshine on us here!!!

More important!!!  Include the total population surrounding DC (include Northern Virgina) and you have a huge pop comparable to most urban cities.  let alone look where the money is and who stays or visits?

the same census data lists metro d.c. as 5.4 million population, and metro-baltimore has 2.6 million. it's no comparison. if i recall correctly, d.c. is the 9th largest metro in the country.
remember, the census bereau and most studies use SMA's not incorporated cities. otherwise u'll see the City of Rockville is bigger than the city of baltimore, perhaps?

does this help?

You are very right, but you also have to consider that some areas of the md/dc/va area, are less provider friendly lately, and I am hesitant to venture into those areas. and then, there are other areas, that seem over saturated with providers, such as rockville and I dont want to venture into that territory and spark a war.

These 2 areas I seem to get MANY request form so they are next on my list! They would love you there!

yes, DC is small.

The DC metro AREA is very large.
