Yes Bartoli just retired. Really weird to be honest. She hasn't been very impressive since Wimbledon though. I listened to part of her interview and she said she was in a lot of pain all the time. I guess the players are the only ones that know when it's time to hang the racket.

The day my favorite player Federer retires, that's the day I will force myself to understand golf!

If anyone cares, I just put 6 slabs of St Louis Ribs on the ole Big Green Egg. Going to slow smoke them bad boys for 6 or 7 hours. Now I am just doing some research for a little downtime, while I am in Reston the next two weeks. So, what has everyone been up to, today?

I have spent most of the day browsing and watching tennis on my computer. I am an avid tennis fan and currently watching the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.

Isn't that the tournament where the Wimbledon champion just retired?   Some women just like being on top in the end, I suppose ;)

I agree.  The sad ones (in tennis and in life) are the ones who don't know when it's time to hang it up :)

Federer is still the man --- he's always been there and, it seems like he can go on forever.  But when the time comes, Tiger Woods can make golf mighty entertaining... plus, in MANY ways he broke the mold for a stuffy sport which in his own way, kind of refreshing.
