I recall all of those hobby "ghosts" you mentioned as well.

I was friends with most on your list. Old Putter really is a class act and was anyone really a friend of Whirling Dervish?....LOL!....Anais (simply beautiful), Nynaeve (what an amazing woman), Tori, Leila......WOW, thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Alas, only a very few from your list remain in the hobby (some have left this earth way too soon as well).

You and I met on several occasions and my memory of you is one of great fondness.

I look forward to the opportunity to get re-acquainted.

I shall send you my contact info via e-mail.

Happy New Year Ashleigh

onight, January 1st, I’m finally sipping on the Perrier-Jouet I was supposed to pop at midnight on New Year’s Eve -- but that didn’t happen because, dare I sheepishly admit, I fell asleep before 2014 morphed into 2015. (No worries, my dates are much more exciting and engaging than my personal life! *grins*)

And at this precise moment as I’m enjoying my champagne and casting reflection upon years gone past, I’m also waxing nostalgic about those within our community who had a direct impact on me during my previous foray into the hobby.

To name a few:

Nynaeve, Marie, Leila, Erika, Tori, Anais, Sydney, Cassie, Summer, Kitty, Scot, Marksman, Whirling Dervish, Block Denizen, Golfer, Old Putter, Willie Wonka, Shooter.

Oh my, there are so many other names I am forgetting at this pleasant, champagne-induced moment of warm, fuzzy memories, and I apologize for any omissions.

If any of you who remember me and are still around (including those whom I inadvertently omitted), I’d sincerely love to hear from you. The only caveat is that you will have to contact me through my personal e-mail address.

The main point of my post is simply to thank those from my past who directly affected my life on such a positive level, and to wish you all the best, whether I hear from you or not.

And the other significant point I’d like to make is…. Happy New Year, and cherish the friendships in your life. May 2015 be the most amazing year for all of us!!

Cheers
