I am new at this and I am checking out the provider before I contact her to get reference for someone who want see me and I see on her web site that she is charging from 100 - 300 from her client to provide them a reference. I am now concerned that I am not get a true reference since she have a sliding scale for reference. 100 to get you in, 200 for good review and 300 for excellent. Then I am wonder about the provider, but she is extremely well reviewed all the way back to 2001. Am I just stupid or is not the point of a reference to add another level of safety? And if the client is charged for providing one how accurate is it? Has anyone see this before?

That sounds fishy to me, and against everyone's best interests. Does the guy have other references, or any whitelistings?

And another suggestion since you note that you are new, would be to check on the newbie and provider-only boards.

Good luck!

No he provide only this one. I am one review short for the provider board if I am remember correct providers need 3 reviews.

Yes, I know who you talk about. It means a very bad person can buy good reference, not good for you. I would be afraid of guy who use her for reference. If you still want to see him, ask for different reference or screen thru employment. If you want call my number talk to my screener, he very good and helpful.

How much is she willing to pay for a review?

I do not know I can pm you her site and you can work out the details, but if you want to review me I guarantee it will be more rewarding.

Well there are two situations:
1. The person being referred was with lady/agency once (or not at all) and the reference does not tell you a lot
2. The person being referred was with lady/agency multiple times and if referred knew they were making money on side either they knew about and were getting bonuses for referrals or should be unhappy about knowing.

Perhaps the lady/agency sees the money being made for rubber stamp 411 agencies and figures why not try getting piece of pie?  I mostly go to Asian ladies / agencies on west coast and they never asked for referring fee.  The amount they are attempting to get out of you sounds almost like extortion.

I am have some people look at the site and it seem that it is humor on her part and with my limited English I am no see this. I am apologize that I am no see that she is make a joke.
