Providers, what is the best way for a hobbyist to make a positive impression when you first meet?

hygiene, Hygiene, HYGIENE. Consideration of our time. Polite, respectful, courteous both through correspondence before meeting and upon meeting.  
Just to name a few, but most importantly, DO NOT treat us like a piece of meat, a machine, or a bunny rabbit. Catch my drift???
