Provider NCNS

Gents - just had a reviewed lady not show up. I'll give her a bit of time to hear her side of the story.

But, thinking ahead, I'm wondering how you'd all handle this. I can't write a review, since we have not met. Throwing her name out these seems a bit base. However, the situation would seem to warrant a warning to my fellow hobbyists.

Use whatever her preferred method of contact is to ask her about the NCNS. Usually you'll get a response within the same amount of time that your initial communication was to setup the date. See what she says and decide from there whether to post a NCNS in her regional forum.

Two caveats - It's a holiday weekend and she might not be working, so expect a delay in her response. Two, if she's active on the regional board, be prepared for her to scorch the earth under your feet for reporting her poor business practice.

sending off her information before he has given her a chance to explain is not a good idea. Most will start sending out her NCNS and blacklisting her before she has been given a chance. This will not only cause her problems, but also everyone else.

Sorry, this is just my opinion. If he shares with you, he should share with everyone.

I agree with slipry. What if she had a car accident or was hospitalized for an emergency appendectomy? Perhaps she has a very good reason for the NCNS.

I would give her absolutely every opportunity to explain what happened.  Of course you will then have two branches to the tree - you were good with the explanation and you were not.  Personally I would not take a different action for each, but rather just feel different about the experience for each.  No way I go torching a provider on this board these women work under extremely stressful circumstances (put yourself in their place) and I have to expect they will have their moments.  I am guessing she will have an answer that will make you happy, and hopefully an offer to make you even happier.  Kinda like :make up sex" is always better1!  :-)

My thoughts exactly, fortheeroticreview - that really, the only gentlemanly option is to keep it to myself. I like how you've described the decision tree: same course of action, but different feelings (sweet and bitter sweet). It helps that I've hobbied long enough to know that it comes with its share of disappointments.

There is a distinction to be made, though. It's not as if I thought fellow hobbyists should be kept in the dark. There is a stricture on NCNS for hobbyists which, I think, warrants similar disclosure for our lady friends. But there is no way of releasing the information in a civilized manner. It would look like I'm dragging her through the mud, and I won't do that.

I hope she comes through, though.

About 5 years ago I had a NCNS with a very highly rated visiting gal. After I'd confirmed the time and place and driven into the city to her hotel. I had just gotten parked when I saw her leaving with someone else. I waited a few minutes but she didn't return. Boy was I steamed when I couldn't reach her on her cell phone. I drove home and felt foolish for having wasted a couple of hours. I sent her an email and contemplated puting something on the discussion board.

The next day I got a very apologetic reply and an offer I couldn't refuse. She wanted to make it up to me with a 3 hour freebie the next day. It was one of my best experiences in this hobby. We had a long and amazing encounter that lasted more like 4 hours where we explored most of the positions in the Kama Sutra. It turned out we had a very good friend in common in Las Vegas. She called our mutual friend. Unfortunately since I paid nothing although I gave her a couple of nice presents I couldn't post a review.

I had several similar experiences in DC last year.  Had one well reviewed local provider NCNS me twice.  When I read her reviews later, I realized she ended up with better offers (longer, more $$) and stood me up - twice.  Did I report it, no. But there are too many providers that keep their commitments to try with her again, having been burned twice.
Another NCNS was from out of town. I arrived at her incall in downtown DC, and got a "who are you" from her handler. Again, either her previous appointment extended or she had a better offer. We ended up in flame war on P411, which didn't help either of us.
My advice, chalk it up to experience and keep it to yourself. My good experiences far outweigh three NCNS. But don't go back once you have been burned unless she admits what she did and offers to make it good (as was the case for TMAN).
