But never really affected my ability to read PMs or write them. I do practice reading and writing English everyday, lest I forget...lol

And yes, having VIP doesn't hurt either...

On a serious note.. A lot of gals prefer to respond via PMs, so getting VIP is must if you want to hobby. Not to mention it only costs a fraction of the fee that you would be spending on providers anyway.

It's also a more subtle way of reaching out to someone who is posting an ISO rather then constantly responding Me, Me, Me on the boards.  Private Messaging is worth having.
