. . . and check out my posts. I did NOT question the safety of the Metro. It does not matter if I'm using an alias, I am still the same person.
I don't feel I owe you an explanation but I'll do it anyway. Here goes.
I started a thread because the original one is already on the 3rd page or more. The incident at the Metro is related to the original thread. Message boards all over the region are talking about the brawl. Is that so wrong to talk about it here? Also, leostar made an effort to post his comment but there were not too many views, so I figured I should to call attention to that.
I did not beat a dead horse, you did.
This is only a hobby message board. Why so angry? Take it easy. Do you work for the Metro? Who is rushing to judgment and assumptions again?
Remember this guy asked last week if the Metro is safe on Saturdays?

Well, it just happens that there was a brawl. . .
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/08/07/AR2010080701992.html?hpid=topnews.
. . . and leostar got to the thread first.

I hope he drove.
would not have gotten as far as L'Enfant Plaza.
Good job continuing to be a fear monger, I'm not sure how I could go through life being afraid of my own shadow..
The discussion ended on the propriety of asking a date, all dressed up for a wedding, to ride the Metro.
My intention on starting this thread is not to start the discussion all over again.
So please enlighten me, if this wasn't about safety then why the new thread? If this was about the tactfulness of a wedding date riding the Metro vs driving (which he clearly pointing out wasn't an option) then why the need for a new thread if not to just beat a dead horse?
And I guess you failed to understand that it was your use an alias I've put in question rather than posting with your regular handle. But keep on rushing to judgment and assumptions, you are batting 1.000 so far.

Huh...guess I got to you if you feel the need to keep coming back, even starting a new thread about it..no need to get so upset guy, it's just a hobby message board as you said. So you win Mr. Alias User on an Anonymous Message Board That is Used to Share Fictitious Accounts of Time with Women, there is a Bud Light waiting for you to celebrate your victory. I myself am tossing in the towel on the topic, and no Mr. Assumption I don't work for the Metro although with the recent rate hikes I feel like any of us that ride it should be get dividend checks yearly...
As for my beloved Nats they will be competitive soon enough, give them a couple more years. They made some great trades this year for really young talent, the future is bright. Maybe my season tickets will finally be worth more than the paper they are printed on
Everybody knows what the Metro is like. Besides, life is not that bad. The season is not over yet and the Nats are only 6 games out of next-to-last place. There is hope, cheer up![]()
Seems the recent news has provided me with all of the information I need. Thanks to all who provided useful info. The rest of you - well, o never mind. :-P
the metro safety has been spotty for years but the down own and business sections have been untouched.....al bets are off now...take a cab or car service for now
I think i' desensitized to this now....I've seen way too many metro fights periods via teens and adults. eh smh ... most kids (17 and under) don't give a crap about a curfew and their parents don't either. Kid or adult not much good happens on the streets after 1am-ish, 11pm on a friday night to fight seems to early lol.
