I've always been fascinated with this type of massage and the prep associated with it. Really interested in trying it but I have a few questions. Sorry in advance if these are silly questions. Looking for firsthand experience from those who have experienced this type of massage.
1. Does the gel linger on your skin after you get cleaned up? I've read that it's odorless but sense of smell varies 2. I'm a man and as a result I have some body hair. I'm no bear, but how much of a nuisance is it when someone is sliding up and down your body? 3. Does the gel have an negative effect on protection that gets applied/used?
I have had three nuru massages and intend to have again. In my experience, the answers to your questions are
1. It washes off easily and leaves no residue that I could detect. 2. No problem, nuisance, or even sensation of hair at all and I have an average amount of body hair. The stuff is really slippery, including on hair. 3. The lady does need to know what she is doing. If she has it on her hands she'd never even be able to open the cover wrapper and same for you. One set of hands and your equipment will need to have the gel wiped off or the slipperiness would prevent application/retention of protection, but there is no chemical reaction or solvent effect on latex
