at least this has been my experience. I visit DFW area a couple times a year...even with great references and as charming of a gent that I am I suffer an unreasonable number of no shows and cancelations from DFW Providers. In fact Vivian herself canceled on me during my last visit a few weeks ago. I'm sure she is a lot of fun..defintely worth seeing, but you better be prepared for a day of email [ if your lucky...in my case after she failed to respond to several emails I sent to reconfirm our appt and inquire about wine preferences I finally called..she answered and I got the " Oh yes,I was just getting ready to contact you...had something come up with my family..blah...blah...blah " ] with some excuse why the appt is not going to happen. Not meaning to pick on Vivian...and I know the White Knights are mounting up for the charge and indeed I would be sympathetic to any personal tragedy that might shorten her tour...but can not help to note the pattern. Must be a Texas thing ...Too bad !!
I recieved a message today, saying she has to go back to Dallas for an emergency, and had to cancel the rest of her trip. Can't wait till she comes back, and we finally get to meet.
I reread my email, and she may just be cancelling some of her appts. tomorrow, but staying here in DC for full time. If you have an appt. you should verify this.

I know we have been through this before but I refrain from lumping all of the DC guys who no show or cancel with me into the same general category with the good ones. Any city has it's fair share of flakes and fakes. It is just unfortunate that you have encountered more than your fair share.
On this note, I have been told that I am unlike all the rest which is true. I guess that comes from 16 years of banking business and running my business properly and efficiently!
I guess I'm on my rant again...Just could not resist since Vivian sorta messed up an evening for me in Dallas and then sure enough shows the same lack of reliability and consideration with clients here in DC. I think I have said this once before...You are indeed a welcomed exception to my negative experiences in the Dallas area. Your board history and multiplicity of positive reviews speak for themself. I will let this go...before you start to think I"M a flake!
