There's a story on Gawker...

About a provider who asked if a guy was a cop, did the mutual feel up, gave him a BJ, and still got busted...kind of dispels the value of the customary "LE check"- I would post it, but I think doing so violates TER's terms of use- it's on the Gawker front page anyway- be safe out there, folks

If you are in same room with the LE, its almost certain that you are going to get arrested and taken to the Detention Center..

This topic has been discussed literally 100s of times on the "Newbie Board"....

Yep- it's just funny to me that the myth persists so strongly in the hobby; "Are you affiliated with law enforcement"?  If they had to disclose, there'd be no such thing as undercover cops lol

I mentor a couple of Agency owners and for one of them I trained a couple of her new people. Unlike me she will hire people who have worked in the business where as I generally don't. It was amazing how many of them believed the myth of, are you a cop...

Geeze...

I am going to look this story up and read it...so as of this moment I am posting my reply solely on my own experience. I've been in trouble once in the Virginia area and beat the case because the undercover felt me up. I did not ask if he was an officer, I asked him to place my donation next to my coffee cup and straddled him. He was very impressed with my rack and had a nice time playing with me and feeling all over my rear end. When enough time passed, there was a knock at the door and the other officers came in to save him from his own ignorance. When we went to court, the judge threw it out and completely and went postal on him for unprofessional behavior. Made Fairfax return all items including proceeds/dropped my charges and told me to have a lovely day.
The only place I know where an officer can do all acts including penatration and than arrest you is Las Vegas. You may work at a brothel, but if you are on the strip and caught-anything goes.

and would be very, very surprised if this is deemed legal.  As the story stated, he engaged in the same activity for which he arrested her.  Either he is guilty of solicitation himself, or worse he used his position as an officer of the  law soecifically to commit a criminal act in which case he should be serving years behind bars.  That is serious shit.

I have been to the offending town more than once on business, BTW.  It may as well be Mars.  Think "Deliverance" meets "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and you have started down the track to the reality of the place
