Despite that I still think, in the end, it was the client that folded under pressure and spilled his guts when he didn't have to. It's still not a crime to talk about it. I'm glad you're satisfied with your agency's screening process. I know other agencies screen very little if at all and are getting their ladies locked up as a result.
I have worked for 6 different agencies through the 5 yrs I have been an escort. One of the agencies I have worked for has been in the news and on this board. That would be Desirable Companions. I know I haven't been with them long but I socialized with the other girls. Some of the clients in this area know that I used to work both as an indy and with another agency closer to tysons corner. Yesterday, I made some phone calls as I have been stressed out over all this board gossip. This is what I have heard:
The nevada girl who was arrested kept a high profile while working for the agency. She went down to the bars and drank until she was loud and obnoxious. She also kept asking for a joint. She confided in a couple of men who found her attractive that they could be with her after a "certain time." This was all done in earshot of the bartender.
I have worked with many agencies and only had one LE arrest that wasn't my fault. I worked at a massage place in which the owner was on his cellphone discussing "full service" prices within earshot of a christian who reported the entire massage parlor. I haven't been arrested for sexwork since then and charges where dropped on me as I was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This girl went down to the bar in a sexy outfit and drew attention to herself. She isn't the first one I have witnessed do this. I have befriended agency escorts who bring their laptops to the bar and show off nude photos proclaiming to be an adult star or high fashion model. This is not the best time to brag about any job that uses your looks. I also go to the hotels and state that I have a computer sales job if asked. When I go down to the bar, I wear a frumpy jogging outfit between appts. I grab my drink and go back to my room. I am not at the hotel to make friends or impress those who stay at the motel. I also refuse to work on the side when I am with an agency. Aside from the fact that you haven't screened the person, the person won't pay you as much and it is physically dangerous.
I don't smoke anything and I often wear my reading glasses in case the hotel staff is looking at agency website photos. I don't pass my phone number out or offer some guy a good time "after I clock out". It doesn't take much for suspicion if a pretty girl is offering a plain looking guy a hot time "after hours".
I actually like Desirable Companions screening process. Theirs isn't perfect but if you follow the 24 step plan that our recruiter gives you, you should weed out bad clients. The agency also tells you to call them up if someone starts asking unnecessary questions. I actually feel more comfortable with this agency's screening that provider references. Nothing is foolproof.
For those of you who use agencies, always have a prepaid phone. You should not be using work or home phones for this hobby. Don't bring any drugs even if you know the girl. Don't have a drink at the hotel bar either as you don't know if the hotel is watching you. I work at a hotel maid as a teenager and my brother was a bartender. We were offered raises for snitching on illegal activity so don't discuss your sex life with the bartender as he isn't your friend. He pours your drinks.
If you are being loud and boisterous, you are asking for trouble. I guess when some girls start making good (mind well, I didn't say easy) money, it goes to their head and they start thinking that they are invincible.

Can’t say I enjoy the soap opera going on in DC these past several weeks, but it’s a good example of logical thought being completely absent from too many posts.
Known facts: --Lots of news articles about arrests --An uncomfortable number of specific references to agencies, web sites, etc. --A number of people on here and other sites get much quieter. Maybe they decide discretion is the better part of valor. Maybe they have been busted. Maybe they went on vacation. Maybe they got board reading soap opera posts. I don’t know and probably never will
Seems to me in times like this caution is useful. So is exchange of ideas and exchange of best practices. People who see any part of the world in pure B&W are probably wrong more often than right. People who see THIS world in B&W are wrong damn near 100% of the time.
So when I read a post like dcgal’s I read it, add it to the body of knowledge, and weigh how much credence to give its parts. Personally I judged her post mostly sound info, some personal opinion.
But horny-J, yours I put in the bucket of one-note anti-agency fear mongering. Yea, some agencies do a piss poor job of screening or caring about their providers, but in your world view they’re all that way. And anyone who differed from your world view is deluded at best and a calculating liar at worst. At least in the world view you claim to believe (and I don’t know if you do or not)
