I don't know how common this is, but one visiting provider told me that some of the people who called her to arrange appointments were shills for other(mostly local) providers who try to sabotage visiters' success here--to keep the competition down. I don't know how she knew that, and I didn't ask. Anyway, it sounded plausible to me, not as a widespread practice but as something that probably happens.

This is a very common practice. There could be another reason for this. I have seen schemes where folks will schedule and cancel. Then other people will get the visiting provider at a 40% discount.

Be careful if you see a discount from visting provider. This could be an indication that the provider has been busted and LE is out to get some potential clients. Better safe than sorry. Stick with who you know and well known reviewed providers.

Never heard of that. What is the point really? Does it ever really get that serious??? That is some Halliburton type of thing to do. As a guy, why would anyone go thru the booking process with a provider just to trick her. Bad business. If I have a guy who no shows on me, or is less than favorable, I contact the provider he gave as reference. But I guess if the provider is in on the scheme that means nothing.

If a provider is good she does not have to worry. Regulars will come back, and new clients will hear about her "talents" from her regulars. Most of this business I found is word of mouth. Advertising is a good way to entice, but most will come back to TER or the boards to get info anyway. Sabotage is stupid and a waste of time. Plus, often backfires.

That is bizarre. If the provider decides to post the no show on the ladies board, and he starts piling them up, no provider will make an appt with him. And what happens if someone he REALLY wants to see pops into town and sees he has numerous no shows? Doesnt make sense to me.

Specially when an agency or provider has a "hold" of the local market.
When a provider goes to a new area, to try to establish herself, she will get guys booking appts and then cancel at the last minute, so she will not have time to get anyone else for the spot.
If is an agency, the guys are the ones who gets freebies or first hand on new girls.
If is a local provider, guys also gets freebies or special treatment to "help" her out and get rid of the competition.
Happened to me when I first started to go to Long Island/NY and KOP/PA. There was some "locals" who even went to the extend of threatning me with nasty e-mails and phone calls besides booking/no show games.

On my first tour to MD I had the ol' discount thing pulled.  Gents would schedule for 2 hours and then cancel about 5 -10 minutes before the apt.   Then my phone would start going crazy for guys wanting an apt within 15 min - 1/2.  

Then they would say that my rate was a little higher than the "going rate".  Could I give them a discount or a 1/2 rate.  I simply replied that I wasn't available for such short notice apts.  

I am hard headed and don't give up easily.  By my third tour there I had no problems...same thing in KOP/PA area.   Although it didn't happen to me in LI/NY.   The nasty emails are common too :(  

Just imagine all the business some of these ladies would get if they put this much effort into their clients.

Always have back up in case...
Always have plan b..

I've always wondered if there was a market for clients like myself.  I have a very flexible schedule and have an unblemished history.  If I set up in advance to fill in for a no show - do you think there should be a discount?

Do ladies share clients names for anything like that?

Like most ladies I only see a certain number of gentleman a day as well as only at certain times of the day. But demand on little ole me (especially on those days I have specials) is sometimes more than that. So for days like that I keep a list of gentlemen who have called, but I could not intial fit into my schedule, (just as a lot of providers do). So if anyone cancels I refer to the list.
As far as a discount, probably not because the another person on the list is willing to pay the rate asked.

exactly what some of these guys goals are.  You see, they book the girl, cancel last minute, and then, out of the blue, the phone starts a ringing, and the discount discussion come up... hmmm, so I don't see any reason to encourage this by offering a discount for last minutes, it just makes no sense to us.

And sharing your information?  Nope, not gonna happen.

I don't think this is coming from the regulars here who take the hobby seriously and respect the girls. Maybe some better verification would help. Some agencies ask for the TER handle which is OK, and if someone doesn't show I suppose he could be 'outed'

you can verify that it is him unless he gives his password out.  But usually if someone pm's you from here they are less likely to be one that no call no shows.  Atlanta is the same way alot of the providers have their regulars make appointments and then book all your time and pull the same stunt.  I know a girl that even verified a reference and then the gent after no showing she e-mailed him and he said the same girl that was his reference offered him 50% off to see her instead.  It is just amazing that girls get so catty and jealous like there is not enough men to share.  And it is pretty sad that there are some men that play these games with these girls and think it is not gonna affect the hobby.

Then men tell me they cant give references because if provider A finds out , she will tell Provider B and they may never see them again and black list them.. LOL

Can't wait to eat you next week.  But to the point it really sucks when girls don't give references.  I just have to ask the gentleman for another as their reference did not get back to me.  Eventually if they use the same girl and other ladies do not get a reference and ask for another the gent should be able to put 2 and 2 together.  We are not their wives and do not own them plus I love to share.  Yummy!

So this is an interesting thread. I didn't realize when I started it how surprised the guys would be over this practice. I am a light user of these services compared to some others, but if I noticed it I am surprised other didn't. Thanks, ladies, for your input.
