I can only speak for myself. I am married and my wife is in her late 50's and no longer has any interest in having sex with me or any other man or woman for that matter. She has a mumber of physical and emotional problems. Shs has left that part of her life behind her. I stay married for the sake of my kids and other things that the marriage brings us. My kids are adopted and still young. If my kids were older I would be on the road to divorce. But for now jerking off for the past 5 years just does not cut it any more so I started to hobby. Not proud of what I do but for now it is the path I have chosen.

Something happened at  menopause and its never been the same for my wife in terms of sex.  Its a diversion that honestly keeps me from getting cranky and frustrated---at least until I can golf again

Recently I asked two popular providers on separate occasions what percentage of their clients were married.  Each one said, in so many words, "about 70%."  One added that 15% are divorced.  They didn't offer explanations, but the usual ones seems pretty iron clad and plausible to me.

Personally, I only got into the hobby because I was bored and my dating life was down the tubes.  

I have a GF now, I'm happy, and to be honest, I haven't made one appointment with a provider since we got together because quite frankly, I love her, and with things going so well, I don't need to be with any other woman in any kind of physical capacity.  I still read reviews & look at ads and stuff, but no harm in looking right?

I can't speak for married men though.  My guess is they either get bored after all those years with one person, or they just get so stressed out with work & taking care of the family that they need a release.

As long as there is no abuse then they can leave the wife alone and by the time homework, sports, dinner there shouldn't be time for fighting and arguing with the wife.
They can just focus on their kids and have discreet ways to meet their needs and relieve stress in stead of splitting up the family.
Some men love their wives deeply but her sex drive has expired.
He doesn't want to bother/burden her with it.
He just wants to get his needs met and go home to his beloved wife and make her happy by not pressuring her and just enjoying his love for her.

Some men think marriage means his wife is now his live in hooker who now owes him blow jobs on demand.
They get it twisted and should go to a whore if he wants to treat a woman like a whore/sex servant.

Men don't marry for sex.
So they often marry women who are not really a good match for them sexually.

He doesn't love his wife any less if he has sex with a professional.
I believe in P4P but NOT cheating and outside relationships.

Many wives won't wear the outfits/ lingerie/heels and dance and seduce.
Many married men want those things and save the sex for their wives.

After 20 years, I'm still deeply in love with my wife.  Unfortunately, our interactions just don't extend to the kind of bedroom play we once enjoyed.  We haven't had sex in 11 months, and before that it was a year and a half.  Somehow menopause has snuffed out any interest  on her part altogether.  While I only find time and opportunity (like when she travels) once or twice a year, the hobby provides the pleasure and comfort I would otherwise do without, unless I had an affair, which would put everything at tremendous risk, and take up even more of my time and energy.  For now, infrequent hobby excursions, or the long anticipation of those to come, will keep me sane.
