I am looking to purchase a camcorder and I want something fairly easy to use. Which camcorder has the best quality of pictures but is still fairly easy to use? Also, looking for digital.
Thanks,
Vanica

check out the sony it is very easy to use makes good home movies. It has a touch screen and it uses mini dv tapes that are rerecordable and also easy to burn to a dv though your computer with a touch of a button maybe you and I can get together Vanica and I show you how to make a nice video with it

actually I would recommend Sony -- they are best compact with the best lenses for digital cameras (although they use red based filter which means reds dont come out perfect ) -- but never with digital camera -- for good color although not digital format - (but you can transfer - try the sony trv-82 old in 97 - takes tapes but prob the best personal camera ever made for pics and sound  -- but big by todays standards

cannon has best color but lenses are crap and audio too - plus they use blue based filter which means they dont work well unless its bright

check out www.cnet.com if you are completely new to cams :)

Joren, you post is enough to confuse an aficianado. (I understand it, and I expect that Jeop does too, but does Vanica?) Jeop, right on target. I agree and it is right to the point. Great quelity, easy to use and reasonable even at full retail. Vanica, you can't go wrong.

You can buy a subscription for like $20.  It's
nothing compared to hundreds you will waste if
you pick the wrong camera.

As with many personal digital devices, there are
hundreds of choices.  Let the expert testers sort
thru the steak and the sizzle.

Good luck.
