The Dupont Circle area (see link below) sound like what you are looking for.  Lot's of restaurants, clubs, and activities in the area.  Many gorgeous visiting and local ladies to meet in that area also.

I'll leave it to informative Eros and the TER resources for you to decide on the ladies you both prefer to enjoy spending time with.

Have fun!

Dupont Circle is a great place to stay, lots going on there and it's a short cab ride to Adams Morgan, my other favorite area. There are lots of hotels in that area but one of my favorites is the Hotel Rouge.  http://www.rougehotel.com/

As far as local talent there is a lot so I guess you need to let the board know what you are looking for.  Or you can PM me for my personal favorites

please read my ripoff alert below.  You can stop at the Short story.  It's lengthy, but MANY details as things to look out for.  Maybe it will save you some angst =).

...but I've got to agree with legman.  While I was doing my research I DID notice a tone of nice ladies in the DuPont Circle area.  Unfortunately I was out in the southwestern suburbs, not familiar with DC, and didn't want to venture out and ordered "room service" to my hotel.  I just blew the call and picked the wrong one =).

Good luck in DC - I wish I had better.

Really is your best choice...Just keep in mind DC ain't exactly LV or NY...Cool area, but not really a huge party town !   Have fun.

There are three areas that are happening in DC these days. Georgetown is still a center of entertainment with lot's of good restaurants but is crowded with tourists and suburbanites. The "U" street corridor between 7th and 14th streets N.W. has become the new center of entertainment, more trendy with a number of great Jazz Clubs. The newest urban entertainment center is "H" street N.E. around 10th to 13th streets. The Atlas Performing Arts Center, The Rock and Roll Hotel (not really a hotel but a bar and music venue) etc. and a number of restaurants are attractions of this up and coming part of town. Hotels are mostly around Dupont and Logan Circle or downtown near the Federal Triangle and Capitol Hill. While there are some good restaurants in this area there's not much live entertainment other than the bar patrons themselves. Once the fall sports season starts up The MCI Center which hosts the Wizards and Capitols is happening with lots of bars and restaurants in that area. My suggestion is to get a City Paper to check out the music entertainment around town since it's kind of spread out. Yoiu may need to use the Metro or take cabs to get around.

As for hobbying this board is your best clue as to what's happening. In town most of the action is around Dupont Circle. Good luck and hope you enjoy your stay in our Nations Capitol.

I also forgot to mention Adams Morgan 18th street N.W. below Columbia Road. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs.
