you're better off with an independant but if you must go.... The previous poster is right on! in fact you should probaly plan on spending more than her recommendation as the place has gotten rather high on themsleves after their HBO show...

I was sucked in by the idea as well and thought it would be a great time! Boy was I wrong! As our muse pointed out... the cattiness between the ladies is pretty fierce and VERY noticable. It can actually be uncomfortable at times. It also depends on the lady you intend to see... Some are very cool and some are purely buisness minded and are there to make money quick and get outta there so you have to be selective and I would suggest going to the bar first to chat with the ladies as opposed to simply picking someone from the lineup. You'll get a much better feel for the ladies that way.

If you have the displeasure of meeting Dennis Hoff then perhaps you will learn as I did that he is just pure Ass&*%#@.... Its rare that I come accross someone that I just instantly do not like and every time that dude opens his mouth I want to stick my foot in it! A real horses ass who things very highly of himself! Pretty lame considering that all he does is exploit these women in my eyes... It's kinda crazy how they kiss his ass so much! If those ladies had any sense they would open their own place and make twice the money he does but my guess is they are not willing to do so!

Anyway... Our muse put it much more delicately than I but you will pay allot for very little if you ask me! I went in thinking it was somethig I had to try and thought it would be a one in a lifetime experience... $1000 bucks  and 2 hours later I found myslef wondering if I had just been robber or just hustled by Pro's... I found the later to be true!  

If you must go... be smart and limit your funds as they will try to talk you into any and everything! Personally, I think you'll be dissapointed just as I was but who knows... we all have our own idea of what fun is so its up to you!

I'm heading out to northern Neveada and was thinking of stopping by the bunny ranch for the first time. Anybody been there before or have an opinion or experience to share? Anyone know what the average cost is for an hour appt? Feel free to post here or pm me. Thanks!

Oh….wow…. This is something I have first hand knowledge of, so listen up.

I actually worked there for a spell a many summer moons ago.

Here is how things are going to play out, word for word:
When you arrive, the ladies will perform what is called a “line up”. All the ladies will line up and introduce themselves to you. There will be anywhere from 12 to 20 ladies in any given line up as they work 12 hour shifts. You must chose one, or simply say you are going to the bar. If you opt to go to the bar, you have 60 seconds before any lady is allowed to approach you. That is LAW…LOL!

However, if you chose a lady out of the line up( or chose to go with a lady that you’ve met at the bar), she will (get dirty looks form the other chicks, which should be expected for obvious reasons and) take you on a tour of the ranch. Said tour should last about 10 minutes. Your tour will conclude in a big room in the middle of the Ranch. I apologize as the name eludes me. This room has a hot tub, a big bed, a skylight, and a stripper pole. She’ll start off at $1500 for a party.

Here is where the negotiations begin.

There is a lot of up selling (so expect that) and there are microphones in every room, so the office can hear the negotiations. Once you both agree on a price, she will collect the money and take it to he office. After that, the microphone is turned off.

It is my understanding that negotiations cannot go any lower than $200-250, but if the lady is agreeable, you may get a 10-minute CBJ if you’re lucky.

I suggest you should expect to spend at least $500 for a decent time. Remember, it is up to the lady to determine what she’ll do and won’ do but that is a good price point reference for you.

Also, EVERYTHING is covered, just so you know.

Now, word travels fast and if you are low balling, everyone in the Ranch will know by the time you leave the room and get back to the bar. However no other lady will approach you. Avoid going lower than $300 at all cost.

If you have $$$$ to blow, you should go to Bunny Ranch 1. If you are a little on the frugal side, you’d be better suited at Bunny Ranch 2.  Both locations are only a mile from each other.

Enjoy your visit there. I hope you get to meet Dennis, as he shows up and buys rounds of drinks for everyone and is a very NICE guy.

Ladies are supposed to be independent contractors there but i've heard most are very willing to negotiate with your budget.

I wasn't impressed and quite frankly was underwhelmed at the place. But I crossed it off my bucket list and when I left nearly caught the wrath of god for leaving...it wasn't really anything to do with the women working but more that the place is kind of a dump and really turned me off to the point that I decided to just bounce.

I once went and walked out after two drinks.  Since it is legal, I got the feeling from talking to the ladies that this was going to cost me more than my usual visit with a indy or agency gal.  I did my homework ,like you, before going and was not going to let me little head think for me.  Once I got back to Vegas I conatacted a local indy and had a great time.  (I have seen her twice since first visit)  If you are close than go have a drink and check it out but don't get caught up in it!

TOTALLY NOT WORK IT!!!!!!

I've often wondered why bother with the legal aspects of sexual services.  Lap dances, strip clubs, etc.  For few hundred bucks and i can spend some quality time with my ATF, getting laid once or twice in a nice hotel with a beutiful gal.   How many strip club encounters have a happy ending.  Usually some guy gets his wallet milked faster then his joint, and he gets abused and hassled in the process.  

Never been to the ranches, but have not been interested either for the reasons above.    Las Vegas has a local board,  I think Id rather be back at the hotel with one of those gals.

The only exception that intrigues me is the German FFK clubs.  I would be willing to give that a try.

Use google to research the legal houses of ill repute.  There are several websites devoted to the houses with detailed recommendations.  Below are my generic recommendations.

1.  Avoid  Bunny Ranch 1 and 2.  Way overpriced! There are a number of houses near the Bunny ranches which are much better values.  Mustang is a pretty good option.  The smaller places are better yet.  If you have the time, the ranches away from Reno/Carson City and Las Vegas offer VERY good deals.

2.  Expect to negotiate.  Internet based Independent Sexual Service Providers don't like negotiations and will blacklist you, but in the Nevada ranches it is mandatory.  (See the post by DC Muse above).  If you can't negotiate a fair price, walk out.  There are plenty of providers and houses.   The ladies need you more than you need them.  I have been able to get a basic half and half for as little as $200, but expect to pay at least $300.  

3.  Do not take a taxi (particularly a "free" taxi) to whatever ranch you go to.  The taxi drivers get a big kickback which just adds to your price.

4.  Do not drink, particularly if you drive.  It will affect your performance and judgment.  Although hobbying is legal in rural Nevada, the police sometimes hang out near the ranches, ready to pounce on the hapless drunken driving hobbyist.

5.  Try to go in the early evening.  You will have a decent selection and still can negotiate a reasonable price.  Avoid weekends or going during conventions.

6.  When you go to the houses, consider ringing the entrance bell twice.  This might avoid the lineup.  I prefer to go in and mingle with the ladies and make my selection.  If you want a lineup, you can always request one.

7.  If you do get ripped off, complain to management.  In the hobby, the customer is always wrong.  At the houses, the customer is (almost) always right.

Just looking at the set up gives me pause. First I figure there is a lot of overhead, which will drive up the price. The line up is designed to overwhelm the prospect into making hasty decisions. Given that the prospect has driven to the deep end of nowhere and has faced the line up, how much wiggle room will there be in the negotiations.
  You'ld be better seved going to the DR, Costa Rica, or Aruba. There's everthing from bar girls (who tend to be locals or ladies from SA) to all inclusive resorts that offer everthing from European girls to golf trips and sport fishing.

Having been to the ranch, I would agree with most of the posts here.  What I really mean is, go check it out, have a drink or two then return to Vegas and your already arranged appointment with an lady.  Its cool to say you been there, not,  been there done that.  The private experience at the Ranch is expensive and not nearly as good as a well researched private appointment back in Vegas.

A brothel is much more efficient than the classical incall/outcall system where a provider or hobbyist rents an overpriced hotel room for a few sessions.  There is none of the costly no call no shows by the providers or hobbyist - both the providers and hobbyists are ready for action.  There is lots of wiggle room in the negotiations.  In the Washington DC area, a real hobbyist has to compete with dumb white knights who are willing and able to pay any price that the provider cartel establishes.  In the Nevada brothels there is currently a glut of p*ssies chasing few c*cks.
I have never been to the DR, Costa Rica, or Aruba.  From hobbyist reports they are ideal for hobbyists - the providers do provide great services at fair prices.  But the airfares and hotel expenses are staggering.

I used to do the Brothel thing before the hobby and went to the ones in Pahrump (nearest to Las Vegas). Those ranged from $400-$500 for half & half (CBJ & CFS). I also went to the ones near Reno (they are really close to Reno) a couple of times and stopped by the Bunny Ranch (before they had a show on HBO). The one lady I wanted more then my usually amount, so I left and went to the others. They were around $300.

When I discovered the hobby, the rates were around $250 and the ladies did more (DFK, BBBJ, etc.), so I was hooked (pun may be intended).

. My comments are from many years ago , way before EROS and TER. Went to Vegas on business, played the slots and had some extra cash . Called a brothel outside Vegas , limo picked me at my hotel ,went to a ladies house first to pick her up to take to brothel . Saw the lineup ,picked a lady , she showed me a written menu . Prices were high even back then . Got a terrible BJ . Took another lady back to Vegas as she was coming off her stint. With the internet ,you can find better ladies and better value.

That those Brothels encounters were for 1 pop. Though I remember hearing the Reno ones can go by hour. When I went to Reno a couple of times, I just did what I was used to (like the near Vegas ones) and did it by act. The hobby was so much more a better experience that I never went back.
