I had a bad experience with a grossly overrated lady by her agency a few weeks ago and fell into that trap because she didn't have any reviews.   I took the Agency on their word regarding abilities and GFE experience.   As the guys paying the fee if an Agency girl falls grossly short of being a Provider should we not be in our bounds to expect a refund or credit?    With the amount of talent being displayed by the Agency's I would assume they would want to keep their reputation somewhat unblemished.  The only recourse I had was by posting an honest review.

This being a general question I anticipate TER moving to the general discussion board.   I feel its pertinent for the DC board because this is where I play.

Didn't mean to ramble  on but would be interested in reading what other guys think on this issue.

What exactly do you mean by she "fell short". You need to elaborate more on that. If I were the agency owner, I may not offer you a CASH discount, but may give you discount on your future appointment depending on our individual case. If it was just the case that you didn't click with her then "sorry" - you just need to write an honest review and move on.

Some guys enjoy being the first to see a new girl, its exciting to them. I feel like its a risk you take when you decide to see a new unreviewed girl...cant afford the loss? Then wait for a few reviews.
The truth is, unless and agency owner is "testing the product" how are they to know if a girl will hold up her end?
Girls come to agencies promising they are the best, they love this job and they'll treat guys well. All we can do is believe them or not and some girls lie and just want to stay in town a few days, burn bridges, make a bunch of cash and leave town which is why I only work with local girls.
Essentially you guys are the testers, you guys let us know how great or terrible a girl is. A lot of agencies have a few guys who tell us, "if you get a new girl I want to be the 1st to see her"
They know that its a gamble and you should know this too....even if she is with a reputable agency.
The agency owner should have told you 1 of 2 things:
She is brand new so I cant promise anything
OR
She's only met a few people and general feedback is...blah blah blah.
If the agency owner promised the stars in the sky on this girl and she was a complete rip off then yeah, I agree a future discount is in order BUT only if they convinced you to see her.

Bottom line...this is a hobby, dont spend more than you can afford or are willing to lose. Go with a girl with at least 3 good reviews, shes still new and you know what you'll get.

Generally I agree with the other responses, and also on yours except for one point. Even though I agree that an agency should not make promises that it cannot keep, somehow I have the impression that you think a business should not be responsible for the quality of its services.

The business/agency should only be partly responsible for it. You can't really do a Quality Check in this business. You can only know if a girl is good or not once you start getting feedback. If the feedback is bad the agency owner can fire the girl to protect her brand/image. A smart business owner will do that. From hobbyist's perspective if the reviews don't match your expectations, just don't see her.; see someone else.

There are two ways for agencies to control quality. The first would be to require that candidates have reviews or have candidates do a free session with men drawn from a list of prefered customers.

IMHO, IGotThisOne is right - Bottom line is that's the way it is - no guarantees or recourse really.  Other than to live and learn (about being first, about THAT agency's representations, etc...)

PGF is right too (as usual with an astute view).  It's the risk/reward of being first.  As long as the agency makes no explicit representations.  Don't like that risk and can't afford that loss - don't be first.  PGF points out that many new girls are equal risks to the agency too.  TER provides info as a basis for calculated decisions for all those who come "next" (if feedback is provided - which must be weighed against the credibility of the hobbyist(s) providing it - which is a big issue).

However, Concientious_Hobbyist is right in that, just as any business knows its customer, if an agency knows your preferences (either looks and/or performance), and recommends her to you, and/or implies they have some knowledge/feedback of the performance "fit", then a discount on a future visit is in order IMHO - just like any other smart business might do for its less-than-satisfied customer.  (A few DC agencies do this, and a few get greedy and don't)

Really, it then depends on the representations made by the agency and acceptance of risk levels by both parties going into that "first" session.

You pays your money, you takes your chances.  If you want to TOFTT, thats the risk you assume.  Enough said!

Appreciate the insight from those who have posted so far.   My regrets are that I believed what I saw and read from the Agency and found an older version with the provider quality of BP on a good day.   This will not happen again.   thanks

I frequent an agency that I like and tends to have good girls.

One time I had a truly horrendous time and let the agency know and I was offered a discount .

LAter I saw a girl. I wouldn't say it was a bad time but I felt underwhelmed and i kind of missed my money. I let the agency know and I was given a discount.

Again I saw a girl that wasn't bad but we didn't click.  I let the agency know and they offered  a discount but...

They stopped picking up my phone calls.  I even tried changing my number and when I let them know who I was they just said the girls were busy and then stopped answering my calls from my new number.  I had to change my number and rescreen and pretend it was my first time since I had a new job and my name is very common.

Lesson I learned is you can complain but don't do it too often or you'll be labeled ad a problem

Since you have no link to your reviews there is no way for us to know what you're talking about. Why don't you give us the opportunity to read your review and learn from your experience.

The way I look at it, this is "consenting adult" stuff we're dealing with.  We can't forget that she is a living, breathing human being.  She has her preferences in partners and generally knows what she likes and doesn't like.  The "professionals" will win an Academy Award trying to fulfill the business transaction regardless of how much she is turned off.  The less experienced provider will generally go through the motions, "just lie there," and leave.  But, if you and the lady connect, the session will rock both of your worlds.  But, if everything is on the up & up and we just don't connect, it's just one of those things.  It could be for a variety of reasons, none of which are the agency's reputation and honesty.  For me, it's most always the age difference.  A provider in her 30s or 40s (closer to my age (50+)) has a much better chance of connecting with me and vice versa than the 20 year olds.

I will blame myself rather than the agency if I get caught up in a bait & switch.  It's my fault for ignoring the warning signs and thinking with the little brain.  Face it, this hobby is pretty intimate for both individuals.  There is a lot that can go wrong, even in the realm of above-board honesty.
