There is actually another distinctive board for this type of activity, and you'll never guess what it is called. Yup, you got it, it's called the "Meet & Greet" board. With the sarcasm aside, that board is active, and each thread correspond to different regions (since its only one board), and you have to find the board that relates to your region.

Mr. Yoko knows more about this than me. Anyhow, I get PM's and emails sometimes from providers that that make similar announcements. That is, they will tell me that they will be at the next meet and greet. All you have to do is email her back with your inquiries. For example, you may say, where is it being held, is there a thread that advertise this meet a greet, who is hosting, can you provide me with the host or hostess email or personal contact, something along those lines.

You will be screened if you attend this meet and greet, and there is usually a fee of a bill or so. Does this answer your question?
