Great sex can be hard to quantify. Is it the best orgasm you’ve had? Is it contingent on what a lady offers on her “menu”? The most intimate connection? Is great sex the same as hot sex? Can you have great sex with someone you have not researched? More over, can you have great sex with a spontaneous appointment with out pre planning? Trying to define great sex can be both fun and instructive, as long as you don’t approach it as if you’re writing a playbook, or a shopping list and you accept that everyone’s definition for great sex will be uniquely their own. largely comes down to enthusiasm. When my partner has sex because they crave, they are going to be really into the experience. The enthusiasm appeals to both men and women for two reasons: First, when you take responsibility for your carnal contentment, your partner doesn't have to worry that you're not enjoying yourself—they can see that you are! And second, the sight of an aroused partner produces more of the sex hormones.

I agree with everything you said with one caveat (and this is true regardless of if it's planned or spontaneous, because I've had great sex in both instances) -- that some sort of connection is felt by both parties. It could by physical, cognitive, emotional, whatever. . . but that "thing" just makes is so special.

A good connection is important. When you have this connection ,they are  the ones I play  over and over in my mind.

If you define it; you limit it.  I won't even try to do that.  I prefer to remain open to expanding horizons!!!!

Can Great Sex be truly defined? I don't think so, because there are so many elements to great sex. Its Subjective too, but here's my take...

Can great sex be hot sex? Of course!!! I do think her menu is somewhat important, but certainly not the main factor. Yes You can have great sex with someone you have not researched. Can you have great sex on a same day appt? You damn right! Sometimes they are the best actually.

Great sex has to be passionate to me. Great sex includes chemistry, in this hobby world it doesn't always happen. When it does its great.

My question is... Can it still be great sex if I only last two minutes??

...of great sex, so I think it would be wise to tackle this challenge in sections.  I won't attempt that here, except to discuss a category I'll call The Best Sex.   The Best Sex for me is uninhibited, and as mentioned in an earlier reply, enthusiastic.  Both characteristics must apply fairly equally to both partners, and therein lies the trouble with The Hobby: It is extremely unusual for the hobbiest and the provider to feel equally uninhibited and enthusiastic.  Even if one partner puts on a good show, there are some things that I am convinced cannot be simply performed.  Their are a few providers out there who are gifted with a genuine love of sex, and I think only those providers are capable of providing top notch sexual experiences.
