Thanks for the "warm" wishes.  My plans got dashed a bit when they upgraded the snowfall to 24+ inches (wow).  At this point, an overnight stay might easily turn into a weekend tryst.

Anyone interested in getting snowed in Friday, at my place in Ashburn?  I have never looked into an overnight before, but I just had the idea.  I imagine it will be slow anyway with a foot of snow coming.  PM me if you might be interested.

Often I miss living in DC
The restaurants
The international culture
The nightlife

The theater , arts & museums

While I don't like digging out from snow any more than anyone else, I really dislike chipping ice! Hope the ice storm forecast for NC doesn't get up this far and doesn't cause too much trouble for my NC friends.

I've been hearing the "click click clicks" of sleet all day! :-/ Hopefully  the weather will be better the first week of February when I'm in DC.
