Dupont Circle is good for a lot of reasons......lots of good hotel choices, great attractions for visitors with shops and restaurants, and convenient to get to/from with the Metro.  Only downsides are parking and crowds.  Tysons Corner and Rosslyn seems to be the next most popular places.  BWI area is the 4th option but does give the Baltimore folks a chance to get there.

Dupont and Thomas Circle are both good choices as far as hotel options and accessibility. As noted above, Dupont has a bit more to offer for shops and restaurants.

Woodley Park also has two nice hotels, and good retail and dining options, and is near Adams Morgan which is a good nightlife  neighborhood.

Parking is equally challenging throughout the city, but the gents just need to deal with it if they are driving.

Tysons and BWI - well, they're the 'burbs, not DC.

As another member suggested, Woodley Park is a great location. Two large hotels with alot of rooms and just 1 stop north of Dupont. People can find parking and will hopefully find you....there is a convention at the Marriott  (where I stay) Sun-Tues....and it would be convienient for a visit...

What is the gathering on Wednesday? I travel here for business, and would love to learn about an "event" if one is happening.
