In LA, where I occasionally visit, there are tons of babes who look like victoria secret models and swim suit models. Here in DC, I find myself searching for many many hours, yet vast majority of the ads turn out to be utter disappointments after disappointments. And when I do I do stumble upon a drop dead gorgeous babe, her review performance either sucks sheep bawls or she's just TGTBT.

In fact, the total number of drop dead gorgeous babes in DC, I can count them all on my right hand, even when I'm in a knee-walking piss drunk state of mind... with the help of using my 5 fingers.  

What the heck is wrong with DC? Especially considering there's a healthy supply of middle aged men with stable income?

Not surprisingly, the ones that are somewhere close to drop dead perfect 10 gorgeous have sky high rates all the way up  2000+/hr. I have no problem with gorgeous ladies charging as much as she can get away with. Limited supply with constant demand, market ultimately determines her price. Unfortunately, vast majority of them aren't anywhere close to a 9 or even an 8 in performance so price does not equate to performance or increase in menu options.

Your post pretty much summed up what I have been noticing for the last several years. I've scanned the Eros ads for other cities such as N.Y.C., and L.A. and the sheer amount of really attractive providers is mind boggling. We're in the wrong town. I plan on visiting one of these cities in the near future and hobby there nonstop for a week.

That's why after several years of hobbying for variety, I'm sticking with known hot ladies.

However, reason why some porn stars are my absolute favorite because it's possible to narrow down the ones that are the for-sure thing. I simply don't have the balls like you to take one for the team every day: If a provider turns out to be less than gorgeous, I don't have the balls to go through the session because my dick shrivels up and I find myself heading out the door... lol

I did notice that majority of porn stars have photos that are highly glammed up and photoshopped. But it's much harder to glam-up the actual videos they are in so it's very close to what I'll be seeing in person.

Of course the catch is that the release date/time of her video has to be looked up in order to make sure that they are somewhere within a reasonably acceptable age range.  Also, it's much easier to look up the actual age of popular porn stars so I know, with reasonable assumption, that she's as young/old as she says she is.

If you travel cities like LA..LV..Chicago..NYC..you understand what the OP is saying.  I think at one time DC was in the a top tier city. Now I must admit we have , like the dollar and DOW lost a few points.   Love my DC faves , but yes, there is a shotage of 10s here compared to other great metro areas.

I actually think there are alot of good providers in DC and there are always great girls visiting because they know this is one of the few places in the states where the money is.  The problem is you won't find these providers in one place - some advertise on the eros guide, others on cityvibe, others on backpages, some with agencies, and some don't advertise.    Spend time doing searches on TER.  Now if you like only a particular type of girl - say 5'9" blonde in her early 20s you are in trouble.  You find only 1 or 2.  I like a range of looks and ages and I constantly have the problem of picking and choosing between girls who range between 8 and 10 in the TER ratings.  I just can't meet them all.

Also with the visiting girls there are some girls who visit here on a regular schedule - say once a month.  They may not appear to be in DC in searches, but for all purposes they DC providers because you can meet them here.

I suggest you just spend a little more time researching.

Every week I look on Eros-DC in the Visiting section.  There are usually ALWAYS 70-90 girls.  I'd say 75-80% of them are top-notch.

It's true we have tons of visiting agency girls from the big 3, but most of them are 8 at best (and even that's inflated). I saw three agency girls when I visited Toronto in July. They were far better than what most DC can offer and at better rates. We used to have some hot-looking girls from agencies in Florida, but for some reason they don't come anymore. At least, CSJ now visits frequently so we have something to look forward to.

I visiting provider told me yesterday that the guys in our region are cheap. She told me that some of the guys she sees borrow money to see her. Don't have jobs. They complain about $200 rates, etc. Our area has a bidding war with the BP providers where they keep on lowering the prices to get customers. I know some of their customers can afford decent rates but are taking advantage of the 1/2 hour specials. Something that you would never seen before on TER are profiles that now have prices for 1/4 hour sessions.

Maybe it's just me but I wish there were more days in the week so I could see more of the pretty ladies around here. I’m not big on the PS look, GND works for me.

Just did a search on TER reviews for DC providers with average ratings (looks & performance) between 8 and 10.  There are 31 for Sept so far.  There others consistently in this range that are not reviewed this month.  I would get on a site like datecheck.  I see many good providers on there who do don't really advertise elsewhere.

Honestly, there is serious grade inflation re: appearance.

I'm sure they are hidden out there somewhere, and I spend a great deal of time on eros/backpage too, but I doubt a client needs to be searching high and low 2 hours a day on TER, backpage, datecheck, eros, etc. A true local talent would have already been discovered with a review on TER by now, no matter how low key she wants (unless she requested her review to be deleted).

I second this!  To me an 8 can be pretty darn good.  To agree with some earlier posts I've met PS's that look better on camera than up close.  Attitude also means something to some of us & I would take an 8 with a great attitude than an unpleasant 10 anyday.  Some people like a girl next foot look.  I will sign off before pissing some of you off too much, but sure you won't find many penthouse pets in DC.  I still think it is a city with great providers.

You're entitled to your rant. DC seems to be a very different market. Consideration has to be given to the fact that so many cities intersect the area so you don't have just a DC based set of providers.

Since I am new to this area I have noticed a modest base of what seem to be real professional providers. Alot of the ads look like girls just trying the business out and they aren't really sure what they are doing.

Being a mature provider I have found that I am in high demand for the middle aged men. My guess is they have their preferences just as you do.

Ask yourself WHY? and all you really have to do is read the constant string of how the board thinks about providers (Agencies and Indys). If they are not providing a level of service we expect at a price we expect then we start a thread about it. That seems to happen often and they notice it as well...

I don't care about price, but the girls do.... that is what my post is about, All" of the "Complaining" about providers is making our board look like a bunch of grumpy old men.... who would want to come to DC after reading the complaints on this board about providers... we think we are somehow giving the girls valuable info, but what they read may not be how you intended...

I think that's just DC as a whole.  Went to a bar on M Street last Saturday and I've never seen a bar filled with  below average looking, flabby women.  And what's funny/crazy-- these women actually thought they were hot.  I went to undergrad out West and I can tell you, I've seen and experienced drop dead gorgeous.  I've been trying my best to enter this hobby but I refuse to depart from my norms.  

There's different definitions of gorgeous.  To me gorgeous is something I wouldn't see every day (like #1 on your list).  Everyone else on your list walked past me at some point Friday night.

Seems to me to be a function of the nature of the economies of the places under discussion. LA - being the center of the movie industry (including porn) - places a premium on physical attributes. However, not all of the women who go to LA with dreams of fortune and fame are able to do so and, therefore, will look for alternative sources of income that value their assets, including the provision of escort services. DC - being a city of policy wonks - places a greater premium on intellectual attributes. I doubt any male reading this message is looking for deep discussions of energy policy or political-business cycles when seeking a provider. No, I do not believe that beauty and intelligence are mutually exclusive, but that such combinations are less likely in both DC and LA.
