Glad I do not have an appointment scheduled after work tonight - the roads and traffic are a mess with all the flooding - looking out my office window on the 16th floor, its gridlock as far as the eye can see - Beltway, Route 7, Toll road, Rt 123.  My guess is there will be a lot of missed appointments tonight.

Could not get out of the parking garage.  Then heard about a death in the family to boot which sure puts a missed appointment in perspective.

I tried to detour out of it a couple of times with no luck.  There were downed trees in two of my chosen detour areas.  The roads were even cordoned off with yellow tape already.  ugh!  It took me almost 5 hours to go from Baltimore to Northern Virginia!  Not fun.  I heard it took some people even longer.  But I took Route 29 from Baltimore to NoVa.  It's a great alternate route to avoid the traffic on Route 95.
