I have made deposits before and had no issues and I have also been burned.  Your point about solid review history is obviously a consideration and why I believe threads like this are started - scammer is trying to build a solid review history but all from first time reviewers and so people are alerting others to the scam.  I believe this is one of the main purposes of the board.
I totally understand your side of the argument as well and need to have your time respected and not wasted.  Sadly, both provider and client will learn the hard way if you follow this pursuit long enough and hence why both sides are skeptical.

Requires a 40% deposit upfront.

All reviews are from “board members” with exactly one review each.

No the owner isn't in Iceland - the owner is using a service that  is based in Iceland, a service many shady people can use, it's a service that hides your pii identity for domain registration. Ensuring you're anonymous for most intents and purposes.

They all saw her at “Incall” as well, no city.

The reviews almost look like they were copied from other providers and then maybe AI enhanced.

The reason we have these deposit scammer is because it's SO easy for them to do and we have guys willing to pay.  Even if she's legit, why have a verified money trail to lead back to you?

I request a ten percent deposit for outcalls after being sent on wild goose chases three times by prank bookers, having paid for Ubers or parking myself.

I request a ten percent deposit for tour prebookings after scheduling a deposit-less tour based on assurances, having 75% of those cancel last minute, and nearly losing money as a result.

I request a ten percent deposit for 3+ hour bookings after turning down multiple serious inquiries for a long booking that was canceled.

I continue to offer depositless bookings for shorter incall appointments when I already have a room booked. The flake rate on those is quite low.

I’m also on at least ten platforms and have extensive post and review history.

I have rarely been asked for a deposit but when I have it's been by a reputable and well-known lady. I had no issue doing so and never got burned.

In fact, a few touring ladies who I see are trustworthy enough that I pay the total prior to meeting.

It's all a matter of doing your homework. If I had any shred of doubt I'd move on to someone else.
