I've had three fun independent meetings. First, a call while I was with the lady, I had to go. I paid for one and a half but left after an hour and let the next guy in the building. I didn't mind, she was drunk.
Second I waited at the open end of a dead end street for the call for about 20 minutes and watch the guy before me leave, then the call. That went ok, we went for a couple of pops and she bought dinner to make up.
The third, I set in the lobby and waited for about a half-hour and watch, I think, him leave, then the ok to come up. I didn't go for the kissing, she had c--k breath, but everything else was deliver well. Needless to say I didn't repeat with any of those 'independents'.
Call it a meet and greet.
After long use, I have decided that agencies are much preferable to independents. True, I have bumped into other clients while patronizing agencies, but also with independents. It’s embarrassing. But agency escorts do not answer the phone during the appointment. That’s happened several times.
If you cannot find a review for an independent, you are flying blind. BackPage is a cesspool of fraudulent independents. With an agency, you can check the review of other escorts in the agency and get an idea what service you will receive. Xoxocompanions, Jennifers Models, Allure Model Encounters are all good agencies. There are many more. All the Korean agencies are excellent. Generally speaking, agencies will listen to complaints, though not always.
I once examined every escorts posted on Eros and found that 40% were not in the city when their ad was posted or were out and out frauds. The problem was one agency (Five-Star) and the “independents.” RULE: No TER review and no website, STAY AWAY.
Look at the Eros! There are 24 escorts on the first three lines of the page-13 are frauds and 11 of the 13 are “independent” with no supposed agency affiliation.
You will do MUCH better in the long run with good agencies
Regardless of the form of employment, if the pics look super glamorous (ie photoshopped), have strange angles, are overly blurred or don't exhibit some particular part of her body it's a red flag for something.
I think at least one agency in this area lets the girl bring her own photos if she applies. I got burned once, felt totally catfished. Agencies that have photography by Aldo Antonio host providers that more or less are the same as they are photographed disregarding any postprocess magic. In rare cases they look better in person than in photos (meaning they need to hire a new photographer?)
A handful of 7-ish ratings in a sea of 8-10 indicate that something is up. There's probably more hobbyists who had a less than stellar experience and just forgo writing any review. This is why TER private messaging is a godsend for privately confirming nuances in appearance.

as the other have stated - do diligence is a must. Most agencies and top of the line independents are rarely disappointments.
My earlier comments were not a reflection on independents, just wanted to even it out. While I have had some trouble with some independents I can recall only one with an agencies (in my reviews). Nothing serious. There are probably a few guys here I wouldn't care to run into but as for the ladies that post here coming out of the room or apt I was going into to visit a provider.
Helpful comments. I'm sure there are a lot of happy agency customers but for those with something to lose, independents seem to use more discretion.
Not too long ago I got an email blast from one of the better known agencies with a screenshot of feedback on one of their girls. Problem was that it included the real name of the dude. His LinkedIn profile was just a click away.
