A Baltimore NBC news station carried a story last night about a bust/sting at a hotel near BWI. Didn't get all of the story, unfortunately, but the meeting with a woman was set up by an Internet ad. Undercover officer asked how much...she said $300, and she was arrested. The story indicated there were two more similar arrests in the metro area between Baltimore and DC. Anyone know more? FYI

If a hobbyist gets to an appointment and asks how much, it is probably a good idea to ask him to leave. Vice Versa, if a hobbyist gets to an appointment and the provider says where is my money, it might be a good idea to leave.
I have started using the TGND trick for every appointment now.

One touring provider was popped at the Wingate near BWI.  One was popped at her apartment in Glen Burnie.

The one from the Wingate was the one that was reported last week.  You can also find the report on the WJZ website.  It's a video you can download.  I'm not sure who the massage girl was who got busted in her appartment though.

I looked up WJZ's website and I could not find anything linking to any arrest, outside of the one Brandy Britton one.

County Vice Unit detectives targeting Internet hookers.

The article talks about legitimate escorts and masseuses. Getting a masseuse license was not that hard for me and will be just as easy for anyone who is willing. So if a cop does come to your door, you are in the clear.

As well, ladies since being and escort or stripper is legit, pick one as a profession and pay your taxes. In most places prositution is a misdeameanor and kind of hard to prove if you are careful. But tax evasion could mean real prison time.

As well, gentleman e-mails or phone calls with questions about "services" get ignored because you sound like cops. Be smart. Plus, would a guy ask a date "Do you lick balls and give head without a condom?" Probably not, he just plays cool and hopes for the best. LOL

On a simple charge of solicitation shouldn't she just have been booked in and let out on her own recognizance? Dallas doesn't even take you to jail they just give you a ticket and LAS VEGAS well they let you out on your own (OR) after 12 - 24 hours. No bail needed. How is it the she is being held on bond?

Anyone know of a good DC attorney they would recommend should I need one? Better to be well prepared! I am serious so PM if you know of one I can contact if needed. I hated not having anyone to contact in LV when it was needed. It would not have helped but at least I would have known the protocol.

Like I said, Las Vegas seems like a piece of cake compared to this.

you can see this has a ripple effect and will continue until things calm down.

Interesting case to watch - wonder how we find out when her case would appear in court and go see how this all works... As for the Mann Act - there is a question of it sticking -

In United States v. Holte, 236 U.S. 140 (1915), the Supreme Court held that under certain circumstances a woman could be indictable as a conspirator in her own transportation. However, in Gebardi v. United States, 287 U.S. 112 (1932), the Court, while not disavowing Holte, held that a woman who merely assents to her transportation, without taking a more active role in promoting it is not guilty of a substantive offense under these statutes. The Court also held that such a woman cannot be charged with conspiracy, and that where the only coconspirator is the man who transported her or caused her transportation, a conspiracy charge against him must fall also. Gebardi has been cited and followed in more recent lower court decisions. This strongly suggests that it may be difficult to sustain a prosecution against a transportee "victim" for the substantive offense or for conspiracy, or a conspiracy case against a sole coconspirator who was the transporter, unless the "victim" was active in promoting the transportation and not merely acquiescent.

The Mann Act is a federal law, which I am not sure is even on the books anymore.  Anne Arundel County conducted this sting operation, not a federal agency.  Anne Arundel cannot prosecute a federal crime, so the Mann Act is not a factor here.  The bail was probably set high a. to make an example out of her and b. because she is from Florida, is a flight risk.

Anne Arundal County vice is deadly. They shutdown the provider industry in Laurel in the 1990's. They also do cross-county stings. They worked with Howard County in some of the busts in the 1990's. Go to a Anne Arundal County library, take the url http://www.hometownannapolis.com and do search for prostitution, you will be amazed how many arrests they have.

Reading between the lines in the newspaper article on the bust with the $150K bond, my guess (and this is purely speculation) is that the provider was an illegal alien.  In that case she is lucky to have bond at all; in DC they are held without bond.

Anyone know what happened to Ayanna? I hop she didn't go down in this LE sting. Any info please. She is my atf and everything about her is off of the internet.
