Curly was not speaking in absolutes. His answer was in the frame of reference the OP was working within. You know apples to apples, oranges to oranges. It is regrettable you decided to impose your own absolute fear based frame of reference, too bad it really wasn't the nature (gist) of the conversation.
Within the frame of reference, Curly is right, using only the factors the OP stated in his post and intent, the statistical probably decreases when you compare price points, venues and methodologies.
