Just curious...

How long does it take nowadays for a review to be posted and approved? I entered one the morning of Friday the 18 and its now Tuesday and my review still has not been looked at. This is crazy. Do they have this many reviews coming in that there is such a backlog? Hell, I can help review some, just send them my way.

I posted my last one the day before you and it didn't who up until yesterday. So, they are slower then usual, but eventually they get to them. Unless they reject it for not being subjective or objective as has been recently noted... Good Luck

A few weeks ago, reviews were going up in less than an hour after submission.  I guess that because of the approaching holidays, people have other obligations to deal with.

...so please don't take this the wrong way because it's not meant as a "dig" or a critique of any sort...

Why are so many guys concerned by how long it takes to get a review posted? Two days or twenty days, what difference does it really make? What am I missing?

If you only have a few days of membership left, you might have a lapse and have to submit several more reviews to regain full access.

Rome was not built in a day - and the TER data base wasn't either (ok, maybe it was). Beside the fact some guys keep their VIP status up this way, what would you expect? It is some people’s expectations it should only take a few days such as it has been. But when you read about others getting their reviews posted in just a few hours it increases your expectation and when not met, you start to wonder what could possibly be wrong with mine...

Some guy like to show their appreciation to the providers they see. If it takes 5 days or longer not only is the reviewer wondering what's wrong, but the provider starts to think maybe he was just feeding me a line...

In the case of those who are seeing visitors, if the information was posted in just a few hours, you might be given credit since the providers ad's won't be there for long. And it also helps the visitors who get reviews posted while still in town with filling in the schedule.

OK, some guys just want to see their literary talent published - be it in a review, or a humorous post to the boards - or long commentaries like this one - LOL... Don’t you think those who are currently moderated on the boards are frustrated with having to wait? Well, the same applies to those who want their experience published.

Consistency - if they say it should take no longer then 48 hours and they were consistent, we wouldn't be having this discussion now would we.

For those who are paying members, it is part of the experience and package they put out the monthly funds for.

Old information isn't as good as fresh now is it? Again, falls back to visitors and guys who want current fresh insight to who they might want to see.

I for one wouldn't bother if it took weeks or say the 20 days you mentioned - what would be the point - that would limit the information we use to make our decisions to old, out of date, and might as well be fake reviews...

Anyway - hope that answered you question, if not, I hope others have more to say then I do - LOL

the comment was "bad website".

When I look at the website block, it says:  http://www.miamicompanions.com

Thing is, info in this business needs to be  TIMELY to be of use.  If I had had the benefit of some other frank reviews like mine before going in, (instead of glowing reviews from some others I won't mention) I wouldn't have bothered to go see her.

One other thing that might be delaying your review would be if you're constantly editing it. If I'm not mistaken every time you go into "Account Manager", "My Review's", open the review, then clicking okay or submit, even if you haven't changed anything, the process start's all over from square one. If you do change anything it definitely start's over. To just read the submitted review for mistake's, or whatever, before it's posted just use your browser's back button to exit it instead of okay or submit after your done. I might be wrong but I don't think backing out will delay it being posted. Good luck.

Sometimes they insist on a direct link, sometmes not. This is a direct link to Diana's page on MC site.

The irony is that this holiday week and weekend may be a GOOD time to submit (if experience be our guide).  That certainly was the case with Independence Day and Labor Day.    Less hobbying going on and less people at computers (at least discrete ones) to write and submit the reviews.  I plan to submit a couple this week.
