I called my favorite local agency. The provider who I wanted to see her rate went up to 400 and this is only her third tour
Oh well, My max is at 350 so I passed but good for her .
.......why I am raising my rates for new gentlemen callers. As of January 1, my hourly rate will be $500., up from $400. Yes, the economy in DC is that good, as are the gentlemen.
Thank you DC!
Hugs and Kisses,
Kelly

...$500 for standard GFE? I think not.
I pay $$$ to see a provider who sometimes drives me nuts with her scheduling. she is very "spontaneous" about it. She's cool though. Not flaky, it's just how she rolls. She has other limitations that a higher price might not have.
Maybe the $$$$$ ladies offer something a particular hobbyist needs/wants and it's worth the extra. could be private incall, specific mutual interests, etc...
Kelly:
Tell me if the "Fiscal Cliff" - causes your phone to stop ringing - that's only 40-days away with many high-rollers scrimping on high end escorts. You are correct the economy here in Dc is one of the few bright spots in the Nation - just look at all the girls with phone numbers from out of state, look at all the 702 Vegas girls, and 954-Florida Babes, and 415-San Francisco providers - they all come here for the largess of the gov't - its the free markets at work.
...but our area will be one of the hardest hit by the budget cuts. It's already starting and it's going to happen regardless of any changes made to the budget. So hang on, it's gonna be a bumpy ride!
Kansas though. unless they're drilling for oil and gas in your backyard.
Financially, I dont see the point in paying more than equilibrium (betweeen $$$ & $$$$.)

It has to do with whether there are enough men in the pool of potential customers who value time spent with the provider to be equal to or less than her requested donation. If it was all about the economy being good, every provider would be raising her rates. That's not the case.
It may be worth keeping in mind that raising rates is also a way to limit demand. A provider with a particularly full dance card may decide to raise her rate precisely because she wants to see fewer guys. It's really not worth complaining about. There are gals who come through on a regular basis asking much higher rates than most of the locals. Clearly, if there were no takers, they would not keep coming back.

If a provider raises her rate by 15% and demand drops by 10% this is a positive elasticity of demand and her income rises. If demand drops more than 15%, negative elasticity of demand and income decreases. It is only natural for any businessperson to establish the proper rate for their service, maximizing revenue.
This has been your "ecoonomic moment" here on channel 69.
I think the main factor one needs to figure out is how numerous and loyal is her client base.
Personally I just raised my hourly to 500 and I feel it has not affect me.
I have a loyal base of regulars that can keep me busy or sometimes can leave me looking at the ceiling for weeks and then they all want to see me at the same time (i know! crazy! must be the moon lol!!!)
In my case, I grandfather my loyal friends for years, if not for life... but not only my service, also the environment that I'm able to offer them now is much better than that I was able to offer in the single hotel room where we meet for the first time years ago. They agree to pay my new full rate, because they see/think I deserve it and not because I ask them to do so. And I appreciate it... believe me!
Now if you ask me, why did I raise my rate, only for the initial hour, is because the hour was never an hour... it was always 75-80 and even 90 mins in some cases... I'm not high volume, I'm not a clock watcher and I enjoy my time with my friends... still my time still has it's value.
My rates are as follow:
1hr - 500
90mns - 600 (+100 outcall and touring)
2hrs - 800 (+100 outcall and touring)
Since I did this, I got want I wanted, most of my meetings are 90mins or 2 hours... and it makes me extremely happy when they come back requesting longer meetings than the previous/first one.
Although, please don't get me wrong... I still continue see my older friends at the rate of 400 and I do it with the same smile I do with others may pay more. I will never forget that it's because of them that I am today where I've always I've wanted to be. Thanks you! Thank you! Thank you!
I only hope that those ladies that are raising her rates are doing it because of similar reasons and not only because they are overloaded. In DC, the amount of clients that you at different brackets varies in considerable amounts. And if she's not giving the quality expected in the next bracket, she might end up regretting it. I embrace and wish the best luck to those who have the guts to do to the next level and leave the "fear" behind. And gents, don't worry, there will always be new and greater ladies showing up to your "bracket" whichever that might be.
Finally, to answer your initial comment: "Economy must be good in DC" I think that certain people it has maintained and/or has remain stable... and thank God, I have the feeling that slowly is getting better. Hopefully I'm not wrong and continues to rise up. We all need it!!!

....you are seriously, SERIOUSLY, growing on me Laura ! In a good way baby. I think it is time we "got a room" already?
I love this type of a rate structure, hang a little carrot out there for me to bite at the 2 hour and I'll do it every single time. If you charge 300/hr and 600 for the 2 hour, there is no incentive (for me and how my hobby mind wants to do the math) but if you up the hourly rate to 400/hr and up the 2 hour to 700 I'll pick the two hour every time. No idea at all why more ladies don't follow this same type of rate plan...it could be 600/hr and 1000 for two and I'd still go for the two, makes me feel like I'm hitting a home run lol on the proverbial bang for my buck.
