I use tineye a lot.  But I cannot figure out how to do it to eros.  eros blocks right click.  if you screen grab then you get the whole page instead of the pics...

anyone?

thanks

. . . and look for the URL.

Tools/get info/ media tab, scroll down to the pic and open that url

download the addin "No script" (its free).  this will block the scripts on EROS and everywhere else.  Gives you the option of allowing pages with scripts you trust.

Here is a screen shot of what I see when I use Page Info in Firefox. and what I use to grab the url is hilighted in purple.

Hey DB,

Tineye should actually give you the option to upload an image.

Using the Firefox browser, you can drag and drop a photo into My Pictures. Then, tineye gives you an option to upload a photo, so you browse and upload photo in question.

If you need more details, just post, and I'll add more.

I thought I'd found something more efficient--a Firefox add-on from tineye that enables right-click searches. Worked with eros image first time I tried it, but then was right-click blocked after. Sorry

Grab the actual URL of the page and put that into Tineye.

Tineye will then grab the images from the page and give you a choice of which image off the page you want to run a search on.

Click on the image of the lovely suspected lady and presto! There you have your image search.

I did all of this in Chrome but I doubt the browser matters.

for help with cruising Eros, with all the moaning you do about how it's dead?

As for using Tineye... go to their web site and get their bookmark, and put in in your bookmark bar.

Go to the page with the image(s) and click on the bookmark. It will automatically grab the images form the page for you to select.

Guess he can't help his obsession.

I wish TER would provide a new forum or feature that we could post the information about ads that are known scams and using fake pics.

Good suggestion for him, but you should note you cannot use tineye when you are browsing a category with their scroll bar pane of thumbs to the side.

Only works when you bring the ad up in a new tab or window and use the bookmark feature to let tineye grab all images.

This is the easiest way to use tineye.

But I don't think he's going to understand how to load the bookmark bar.

Easier...go to the bottom right of Eros ad, click on create a direct link, it will automatically come up at the bottom of the ad. Put your cursor on the link and it will highlight, then right click to copy. Paste it in the url spot on tineye (best used two browsers to allow quick alt tab between the two) and you are in business. It will retrieve all pics from the page and then you click on the most like to search and it will perform it for you. If you want to check out a second pic (often worthwhile even if you strike out on the first)then go back to the set of pics it retrieved from the Eros url and try again.

I use chrome. still can't right click on pics, but atleast create a new tab then copy/paste url to tineye.

This is definitely the best way to do it

to elaborate what BMJustice is saying:

tineye will automatically parse the images directly from the page

just put the right link in there.

example that shows hits

go to tineye

paste: http://www.eros-dc.com/files/148967.htm

into the "enter image address field"

click on the 2nd picture

it has 2 hits to show it worked.

But, you need three things for it to be this easy:

1) Firefox web browser
2) NoScript browser plug-in (blocks JavaScript, so sites can't prevent you from right-clicking on their images...incidentally, it also blocks the typical type of browser flaws that are used to compromise your PC, too)
3) TinEye browser plug-in (adds the "Search Image on TinEye" option when you right-click an image)

TinEye is so damn cool...I'd heard about it but only started using it a few weeks ago.  The REALLY interesting thing about it is when you find out a girl you know is legit is actually using fake pics!  Try it and see if you can find them =)

Go to EROS ad. At bottom right of page, left click on "click to create direct link". Copy the link and paste into tineye "enter a new url/paste url here" then press "search". Left click on image to scan for any potential matches. I have no problem using this method on EROS or any other website. Hope it helps!
