I frequently travel and like to enjoy the hobby when I'm on the road.  When asked for a reference by an out-of-town provider, I provide the name and number of some of the provider's I've seen before - but this seems to be hit or miss.

Are there any providers in the DC area who are reliable at providing references to other providers?  I would be glad to meet them so that I'm not "turned down" by a provider in another city.
