Looking for an elegant adventure on Dec 26th or 27th.  Any ideas?

So are precious metals as they are cheap and will hold value no matter what.. Don't go for bonds or bond funds... I like to buy broad index based mutual funds like Vanguard which have very low fees..

Merry Christmas..

And yes, The market will be open on 26th..

Many possible reasons that might not play out BUT since the market.   ALWAYS looks forward the positives from the near collapse in 2008 are ALREADY reflected in market action. The recent drop in oil.p rices and FRB statements will only help for so long.

perfectly time the market. Just when you think that the market won't go any higher, you get S&P going up by 5-6%.  And back in 2008-09 when you thought that the market couldn't go any lower, it kept sinking like Titanic.

Borrowing a page from "Random Walk Down The Wall Street", I've always found investing small chunks of money in broad index funds always a paying strategy for long run. Yes, its not going to make me boatload of money overnight, but for any ordinary Joe like myself, it beats the hell out of chasing stocks like hedge fund managers do.

Not my most favorite person in the world when it comes to Politics, but Warren Buffet recommends it.

The problem with comparing this with Real Estate Market, is that you can't really buy a $200-300K house in chunks. Unless you are investing in REITs. Unless you are a professional investor, you are going all in. So if the prices drop, as they did in 2007-2011 you are a big loser, if you can't make those mortgage payments.. Can't really be compared to buying 5-10K worth of Index Funds...

Very true.for avg investors Dollar cost average in broad index over a long enough time works.  Particuarly compared to other methods but a truism exists that risk does not always need your money.ie prudent to avoid it.

I don't recommend this, but it looks like this guy got rich off penny stocks. Of course we are in the late inning of the bull market and a correct/crash could happen any moment now. Imagine having that to hobby with, lol.

The key is to know when to pull the tiger. One popular one (MINE) just had 50% move in just a week.

In a Roth IRA if your income is low enough or regular IRA. Invest in index funds.

Then take a few hundred and open up a brokerage account. Invest in some microcap or smallcap  stocks. They have a tendency to go up in January. You can use that for you PIT = pussy investment trust. Hobby with the gains.

exactly only with residual

Films about assassination of foreign leaders are big now.

Not my strong point. I've never been able to attain elegance :) I'm more giggly and ridiculous.

BUT...I've had clients talk about one provider in reverential tones. I suppose she is the most elegant one I know of: Abby St. Claire. I've never met her in person, and I don't know her, but she is supposed to be both amazing and beautiful. Her photos certainly evoke elegance. There are probably many others who are also elegant but that's the only one I know who came so well recommended by more than one client

Good luck, and Happy Holidays

Maybe discuss over clothing optional cocktails.
