Slim pickings unless you go with an agency , even then there’s no guarantees. Ever increasing price, Subpar or mediocre services seems to becoming the norm. Poor attitude, some just down bitchy. Simply not worth it anymore.

I completely agree with you. It is not a buyer’s market anymore. The rates are astronomical but if people are willing to pay, that’s the value. There are so many crypto millionaires out there flush with cash and willing to pay what the girls are demanding.
I can’t blame the girls for trying to capitalize and secure their financial future. Market forces decide their rates. If people are not willing to pay, the rates will come crashing down.
Here's an example: Last March I booked two hours with a lovely lady for $600. Today, when I looked at her website, I see her two-hour rate is now listed as $1,200. Bravo for her -- but ouch for my wallet!
There isn't "slim pickings" around the DC area. It's just the slow season...and did we forget about COVID? First, winter months have always been slow. I've been in the hobby for almost nine years now (hard to believe). Cold months ladies don't travel as much and it's harder for hobbyists to get out. Also, with COVID it's even harder. Also, many ladies do not post here anymore. In fact, there are many who don't and you need to follow their Twitter. Many are very attractive and highly booked.
In the end, it's just about networking and knowing who's around. In regards to price. I prefer higher prices. I can afford it and it means more options for me. I don't mind paying for quality.
See anyone that's higher than 400 hourly and I have plenty to choose from. In fact, I just saw a girl for the first time who comes in at 300 and I had a blast with her. Great chemistry and the sex was fucking amazing.
I never thought price had any correlation to services. Agree 100%, that services have gone down, way down. Years and years ago, I would refrain from being online for the fear of relieving the wallet. This is why I moved from the game over to finding sugar babies.... Better attitudes, less demanding, definitely less costly, and overall more fun.
Prices in the DMV are way overboard for the service provided and boards like this have not fully returned to pre-FOSTA levels of communication within the community. There are some fantastic providers in the area, but as others have mentioned, their elevated rates have become top tier rates over the past 3 years. See someone for $800, 900 or more for an hour - no thank you! I can take my sugar baby on a weekend vacation to AC and that 1hr "gift" covers our weekend away AND my babies gift for the weekend. AND with due diligence, I've had several babies that are hotter than many of the "top shelf" providers in DC with the size EEE fake boobs....

Not as simple and easy as Master D Bater implies. Transitioning to the Sugar Bowl can be a very daunting task. You have to separate the chaff from the wheat, and that is time consuming. You're going to have to devote a lot of time at your keyboard hunting thru sugar baby sites. You will encounter plenty of unattractive heavy set women, con artists, and irresponsible single moms looking for a sucker to pay their bills.
Sifting thru that is only the first part. If you manage to locate an attractive, and willing girl at a reasonable price, you then have to set up a meeting to hammer out the details. If she leaves you hanging at the coffee shop for first meeting, you begin to wonder if all that time and effort you expended was worth it.
You then have to jump to the next girl in your contingency plan. It's a systematic approach of trying to keep several sugar babies on rotation in the event that one of them will ghost you--usually for another daddy willing to pay her more. If the Sugar Bowl was so simple, easy, and productive, the hobby world would have collapsed already.
Well said. I took a bit of a foray into the sugar bowl and you've concisely described what I found. In the end I felt the effort wasn't worth the payoff. Made me appreciate the lovely ladies here even more!

Prices here are ridiculous and especially bad for wallet considering I like 2 hour dates. Sometimes the marginal hour is a bit lower, but expensive.
I recommend to those that can to go to Europe. In Germany and Spain, you can get 2 hours for $350-500 with a very nice woman.
1 hour can be as low as $120-150 (there’s cheaper but quality goes down when paying $50 for half hour) and a good time had.
Latin America is also a winner.

The reason prices are going up is because the risk has gone up even more. More variably in income and health risk with COVID now. I have see long time escorts stop escorting to focus more on online work.
Plus, inflation increasing = prices increase. Cost of goods get more expensive, so ladies raise their rates.
It is not the price but the below par services, which is the main issue. I believe the price usually sorts itself out.
It used to be that if we show up on time, with impeccable hygiene, behave respectfully, 9 out of 10 sessions were memorable.
I understand not every session could be like with the legends: Gina Rollins, Kelly Jo, Lauren Love. But these days, I would be lucky if 1 of 10 session turns out be above average. Especially when you have enjoyed 'once in a lifetime experience' with wonderful women. Just being in that city, the location, years after, still gives you the chills and the memories, like it was yesterday. As OP said, every subpar experience tempts us closer to retirement. It is just not worth all that hassle.
