On the rare occasion I go home anymore, I'm amazed at the price differential between Northern California and Northern Virginia. On average, we pay a solid 20%, and as much as 30%, more for the same service. Typical NorCal is 280. Typical Nova is 340. Throw in the difference if you opt for BBFS and the DC premium is more like 45%! That's almost twice as much fucking in NorCal for the same precious resources.
I'm mystified no matter which perspective I take. How is it that prices in an equally affluent area stay low, or how is it that that we've seen ridiculous price hikes over the past two years (I, probably unfairly, blame one agency more than the others). How have we let ourselves be duped into letting it happen?? NorCal beware!!
I'd imagine that most price differences come down to supply and demand...although I'm not sure where in NorCal you are talking...the San Francisco Bay Area is equally high if not higher....
Even 10 years ago, NYC prices were $500-$1000. One touring girl was coming down her for her first time and I was going to see at $700. I was all signed up and verified. She mentioned not much inquiries yet and I mentioned that DC is usually cheaper around $300-400. She took huge offense and said she can charge what she wants and I agreed, but she refused to see over mentioning it (probably thinking I was asking for a discount which clearly didn’t ask).
LA is expensive too. One agency I used to frequent was charging around $400 before the pandemic and now is charging $700. Other independents I saw were $500 or more (pre-pandemic).
If you compare pricing to the rest of the country, our price increases are about the same. The DC market is going to land on the upper end though because of cost of living adjustments and the fact that DC, relative to the rest of the country, is a recession proof economy.
It’s getting pretty crazy with prices. I could spend 2-3 hours with a girl blowing $1000-2000 OR go on a week vacation in the Caribbean for about $2K.
For 2K, you could get a flight to Germany, screw your brains out for $150 an hour and go wild and come back and get a vacation to Germany out of it.
If I weren't married, I'd be in bars, on Tinder, and hobbying internationally once a month...
Software developers with react java script are seeing offers at 225K a year. Folks with just a regular clearance get 150K or more a year. Lets not forget about Amazon and other high tech companies in Northern Virginia. They are paying premium bucks.
Then there are all the businessmen, out of town visitors, foreign government people, the list goes on and on.
Wait really? Almost every developer I know, from front end devs to back end to dev ops is topping out at like 150-170. Where are you seeing React devs getting offers of 225k? Government contract positions? Amazon where people are expected to work 70 hour work weeks?
And I would think they are also reading the papers about all the announced or enacted layoffs by many of the tech companies in the area.
Escorts have expenses in areas that are under more than the usual price pressure since the beginning of the pandemic (e.g., air fares, hotels, and restaurants) which have gone up a lot. DMV salaries are roughly keeping up with inflation, but the service sector consumer-goods prices that escorts face have gone up with inflation as well and sometimes more given the difficulty in getting hotel/restaurant/transportation employees.
There has always been a big NYC and SF premium and a smaller DMV, Boston area, and Seattle premium, but that reflected the same supply and demand factors and predates then pandemic, I get confused a bit by the SoCal market; it seems to be a mix of premium prices and non-premium ones; I don't get out there often at all, so there may be a geographic reason that I don't understand.
I would think the hotels are more costly in cities like DC, Boston and NYC than NC . You get what you pay for. You can go to the outback steak house or the Capital Grill

I entertained in the Roseville area, suburb outside of Sacramento, and my donation was 300/hr and I never had any problem getting that and having consistent appts. I had several clients tell me I needed to increase my donation amount. Not sure where in Norcal you're at, but near the Sac area 300 was on the lower end. I was there from 2020-2021 for 13 months.
There is record cash from the economic stimulus packages still flowing around. Also, folks passing away from c19 and c19 vaccine side effects. The deaths have created a huge wealth transfer effect. People are not talking about it.

It shocked me to see how high the rates went up when I came back recently. But I’m happy to see my favorites are within my budget at 320 to 350, they are the Asians, my favorite type. It’s not that I’m strict with my menu if desired but they have always been my favorite. Actually I love all people of all colors as long as they’re hot 😁. My reviews can attest to that 😁. Actually I am not strict on size or age either. I had some of the best times with Spanish Catalina. Anyone remember her. She wasn’t fat at all, but sexy Shapley and played vigorously.
