In Loving Memory...

I learned this morning that my friend of more than 10 years in this hobby passed from the world in late June.

She had gotten out of this business a few years ago, had a baby but seemed to be struggling with depression, drugs, and life in general. We traded emails just the day before she passed away so finding this news today is a bit shocking.

In this little make believe world, we occasional find someone who makes us feel special. I was fortunate enough to find someone like the first time as a stranger, but after that we became closer and closer each time we met.  The last time I actually saw her, we enjoyed dinner at a Fells Point restaurant, enjoyed a walk around the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, before spending the night in a downtown hotel. This was nearly 5 years ago but it is a memory I will keep forever.

So men, do me a favor now - check on your favorite ladies who you know may be experiencing some problems and offer to help where you can. Thinking back, I can now see some signs that this young lady  needed additional help - I gave her what help I could at the time. There is no way to know if anything else I might have done would have made a difference.

I will miss my friend, but I will keep her memories forever.

not putting her name into the ring.  We all deserve our privacy.  Classy way to honor her and not feed the gossip.

Jacks, I checked on my ATF and she is doing OK.  Thanks for your note and discretion.
RIP to your beautiful lady.
