there are a lot of indy ladies who had profiles then went UTR with their client base established. There are still a handful of well reviewed providers but I agree there has been more backpage reviews.
Maybe it's the economy? I have my 2-3 favorites so I'm good for now at least...

I tend to visit every 2-3 months and I've always had great experiences with the gents in DC - I can't wait to come back in February! I have a few friends who also love to travel there, perhaps we should come more often... a companion road trip!
...Asian providers to be among the most reliable ones with very good reviews. Appearing to lump them with BP providers is both inaccurate and misleading.
I just think everyone just likes to try variety, therefor it reflects that much in the new reviews. DC has an ample amount of reliable choices from what I can see as of late.

I always tell the gents to stick with the girls who are well reviewed, have current reviews and pay for their advertising because this shows they take what they do seriously and thus more reliable and less chance you will have a bunk experience! I'm not saying you will have a BAD experience if you go with a girl that doesn't pay for advertising but current reviews are important.
I will tell you I am very excited about coming to DC next week Jan13th - 18th, I am well reviewed here on TER and just had an amazing photo shoot late December

Yes, many gentlemen like variety, but after events in the past months, many gentlemen are settling in with a few favorites, as kayakkid suggested. If one finds a lady that he truly enjoys, they will always share a new experience.
This may be one reason why there are not a lot of new reviews. Gentlemen have already written them. I do not know if a gentleman can review a lady more than once.
Most of my gentlemen callers are ones I see often. While we often stay in, share appetizers, a bottle of wine, etc., we also venture out for lunch, drinks, dinner, and over nights. When we do stay in, I might be demure one date, and a slut the next. Gentlemen also love the fact that I offer "retainer agreements". In other words, if they prepay so many hours per month, they receive a different number than posted.
Also, many touring ladies have decided not to visit DC due to the high number of cancellations and no shows. I cannot remember the last time I had a cancellation; let alone a no show. I believe that no shows happen for the most part, because a lady did not screen properly, etc. I screen very, very well, and my cancellation policy is clearly written on my website.

I am not sure why that is, but my time in DC was great! slow... but great!! I will repeat. Maybe the gents who book and no call/no show detour some ladies from wanting to repeat their visit?
Both BP and Asian agency ladies tend to transient, thus more reviews. Local ladies and frequent visitors have established clientele that has submitted reviews. The number TER and Eros ads is a better indicator, but then some ladies have enough regulars they don't need to advertise often.
I have seen quite a few new friends and my most recent review is from August. I think some men just aren't really into writing reviews.
Many men in DC area work in sensitive jobs. If the govt or whoever found out about their activities through their reviews they would lose their jobs or could be pressured or coerced. Some maybe married and dont want any evidence of their extracurricular activities out there since a divorce would be expensive and career damaging.
What proves if a provider is worth seeing is her track record. Reviews and reputation go a long way in any town. I pay for advertising when touring, BUT you won't find me on Eros. I have a couple recent reviews but before that the most recent were months ago. So many of my clients just do not post reviews. In fact I am finding it less and less that they do.
