I saw a thread on the General board started by a provider asking the ladies how they got into their line of work. I found their answers interesting. Of course the main answers were “sex and money”, but how they got their was interesting to me. I’m curious about us. How did you come to hobby?  Of course the main answer is going to be “I want sex with a hot lady.”  But, is that it?

For me, I had tried o ce before internet ads out of curiosity and was roundly disappointed. I never thought I would do it again. Then, I got married and the year that my wife was pregnant, it became clear to me that I wasn’t that important to her.  After my son was born it got worse. I think she loved me as a person and as the father of her child, but she wasn’t in love with me.  That’s when I discovered TER and Eros. I think, ultimately it was just as much, if not more, about feeling wanted (even though I knew I was paying for the illusion).  

After my wife and I split and I moved on, I left the hobby alone for a while. You will see that there is an almost 10 year gap in my reviews. Basically, I lost my partner.  She was TOTALLY into me. Polar opposite of my wife. Part of her devotion to me may have been attributed to her bipolar disorder.  Ultimately though, she did something unforgivable and when I broke up with her, she committed suicide.  

So now I find myself venturing back in again. I’m over 45 and not thrilled to be dating again. Once again, I appreciate the ease and illusion of being wanted by a hot woman AND knowing my physical needs will be met. I’m a decent looking guy with a decent salary.  I know I’ll start dating again eventually. When I do, I’ll leave the hobby alone again. Next time, I do sort of hope it will be for good. That will mean that I found someone that I want to be with, that makes me feel that she wants to be with me.  

Now that I’ve bored you with my sob story, what’s yours?  Is it all about Little Richard (for many I’m sure it is), or is there more to it?

I've had a few long time girlfriends, couple short flings, but they all seem to end in disaster. When a woman falls for me, she falls hard, and when I break off the relationship it tends to go really bad. For example, I had a girlfriend in college who when I dumped her (got bored of her), she became so depressed she failed all her classes and dropped out of college (thankfully she didn't commit suicide). I hobby so I don't have to put anymore women through the heartbreak of dating me.

Idk man, for me it’s simple. Fucking a smoking hot chick with no drama. Lol. Feeling wanted?  Nah. That’s just an illusion and isn’t real. Sex is real and most girls that do this enjoy the sex, or at least I can tell with me. Some yes, they are going through the motions. But not most. Anyway, I think that is what’s tough for these women if you’re feeling some kind of bond because they certainly aren’t.

I had the perfect partner. As good as any here and nothing was off the table. Then ‘boom’, menopause. I cared and waited for the two or three years to get through it. It took five and I still waited. When it was over, she had lost all interest in sex. Just TV  and eating for her. In spite of a little old banter about sex, never happened, no interest, told me to adjust. I was never interested in the hobby, no need. I checked out a few AMP with very limited unsatisfying results, then I found the internet connection, it was new then. First lady I made an appointment with was drunk and I almost didn't continue. Found a forum (pre TER) and researched and found my second. Approached with apprehension but met the lady that set the standard for every meeting since. We still message on occasion.  
Now its an ego boost, except for the occasional disgust I see, in a lady’s eyes. Its a need that only money can get me and now that’s limited. Sex I could get without the hobby, but the beautiful ladies, not so much anymore. And I don’t do it just for the sex, I want to be kissed and held. The lady that set the standard for me did it right with passion, now it always seems forced when they kiss me. As I’ve said before, inside this head is a 25 yr old loving sex and romance.

Touch hearts, Touch souls...that is my goal as an provider.  
Establish the emotional connection and intimacy that many lack of.

Quite a few years ago, my wife decided she wanted to put in extra hours at work to try and climb the "corporate ladder".

Yeah I started in the  hobby when  my wife got pregnant also.   As for motivation, obviously  the deliciousness of being with beautiful women who know what they are doing in bed, ( though there are plenty of providers who do not ).  I think one of the main motivators is  is for the thrill of forbidden fruit,  the feeling of freedom and genuine connection to another human.
