I am sorry, I have never been a constant user of TER but I think the changes are ** MUCH IMPROVED ** upon from classic and I think the TER did a fantastic job launching this.

I give my applause to the people who made the changes.

I find Classic cumbersome to use.

Thanks for FLAT threads!!! Great job guys (for a server side Java guy).

Yes, I realize I am in the minority. These UI changes are fairly normal through out the Internet, The Classic View is more like an USENET threaded news reader. This is much more inline with Internet user forums and you can have a tree or flat view.

Excellent. No offense intended to those that disagree but kudos to the development peeps and management.

Thank you!

The changes are good in general but not perfect. There are glitches they need to fix such as the bumping of threads, and improvements that should be made. And there are problems unique to TER, such as provider ads, that they still need to deal with.

I think they launched the new site prematurely and without announcements which infuriated a lot of members.

I happen to like a flat view in forums. The hierarchical (tree) view forces you to reply to a post. Sometimes I want to make a general comment without replying to anyone, including the original poster. A flat view can save you a lot of clicks.

The new look is fine with me, maybe a bit more clear to read.  I'm not well versed in the nuances of web design but personally I find using the new format to be basically the same as using the old one.

I'm not really on every day anymore so when i saw this I was like "Wow, this is different."  It will take getting used to but I can live with the change.

I'm no techhead, but the old site was clearly in need of an upgrade.  I always adapt fairly easily to these kinds of changes and actually enjoy the process of figuring them out.  I haven't heard anyone complain about the "new" Facebook for a long time and I'm sure people will get used to this one.

The more I use it, the more I like it. Took awhile though...

I am getting use to the new site but really don't like how the discussion board is sorted now.  I wish we would have a choice to sort based on "New Threads" as opposed to "New Messages in a Thread".

I like the new format so far. I like how if a post has turned into a long thread it doesn't take over half the page. For example when agencies post each and every girls schedule or when it show your breasts friday or whatever. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the photos and I feel everyone ha a right to post their ads. I just like how everything is more condensed now.

I've been following all the negative emotion on the boards. It's a great case study of what happens when you change something that people have an enormous emotional investment in.

What the people who complain don't realize is that whether the redesign is a success or a failure will be decided apart from them. Do memberships in TER go up? Are there more new users? If so, the re-design will have served it's purpose. Over time, people will grow to accept it as the new normal. The disgruntlement was predictable and I doubt there is anything the owners could have done to head it off.

Like everything else across the internet the format changes from time to time, change is inevitable.  I really like the enhancements to the reviews section, how they average out the ladies scores and the top 100 providers and reviewers in each area, pretty cool.

Change can be tough to get use to sometimes but change is good.  And while I'm getting use to it the changes with TER are good overall to me!!

Now that they allow flat threads, this is fine...*shrug*

I like also but it's taken a tiny bit to get used to since I was so used to the older version. But I agree much improved.

It took a little time to get adjusted but I think they did a good job. Every business has to grow to be successful and this was a logical, well planned, and executed change.
