Are PM’s sent through TER monitored?
I ask this because I recently sent a PM and I am not able to pull it up in my sent file. It says that an internal problem occurred. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

Maybe there is a database corruption problem. I know when you try to read some peoples review that error shows up.

It is not likely TER takes the time to monitor PM's. As for error's - happens to me and Jeop and a few other more often then we can to mention. I usually just resend the ones he that can't be read or when I attempt to open one and recieve the error message I ask them to resend it.

It use to be the Classic site would open the bad ones - but since it isn't there any more - nothing can be done about the corrupt error messages.

As for TER monitoring, it is not the job of our Moderator. And would require a huge staff to read through all of them. They are not however unable to be opened by those who at TER have been given the Admin rights - so they are not private.

Good Luck Sweetie

I certainly believe tha the most latest ruckus that came about regarding BBFS, was discovered or noted on PM's by TER staff.

I would be cautious about the full meaning of "Private Message" here.

It was not discovered or noted by Staff - however, it was shared by so many other members and eventually to a moderator who went on a campaign to discredit and bash anyone and all that brought the subject u.

Moderators are not staff as they do this job for nothing… - but some get some satisfaction in controlling the topic of discussion or even creating the topic. Bashing and Trashing should not be part of a moderators duty – that is just my opinion and may be shared by others.

This is not our Mod's style - RC is more then fair and reasonable.

on the boards.

I was just racking my brain a little (small brain too LOL) to remember where I had heard PM's being scanned by "Staff" (read my previous thread).

I'm very sure I was not acutely in tune on that subject as most. It just jogged my memory.

One should never think that PM's are truly all that private.

Not even email. All information transported across the net, unless encrypted, can be read.

Email is not owned by you unless you host the email service. Email is the property of the service provider such as Hotmail, Yahoo, et. Something most don't read is the small print.

The PM's here are no better. Most don't consider it - they think they are offered a certain level of privacy and rights - big mistake thinking this.

But where it came to the BBFS subject - that was due to sharing the information with the wrong people.

I didn't think you were making comments about our Mod - and yes, he is one of the Best.
