My favorites have been very good performers and great looking. The top 3 in looks are probably among the top 5 in performance, and the top 3 in performance are among the top 5 in looks.
I am very particular about looks. As in real life, if I am not attracted to someone, I don't want to be there. So if looks are only 5-6, I couldn't rate the performance much higher. I've seen someone rated over 9 in looks whose sessions are too scripted for me. If I were to rate her, it might be 10/8 or so. Another woman I have not seen looks like a clear 10, but has a limited menu--no DFK, no DATY, no BBBJ. I was thinking of seeing her once to see if her attractiveness offset the menu limits, but she raised her rates by $100. That made it an easy decision. My guess is that she would be about a 10/6 for meThis morning I've been thinking about some of my favorite meetings I've had in the hobby. And numbers and ratings aside, I was trying to think - comparing the women I've seen to each other - who are the best of the best in terms of performance. Then I thought about the hottest women (in my opinion) I've been with and it's a different list. No overlap on the top three of the lists and an overlap of only 1 in the top five of each list.
That's not to say I thought the great performers were bad looking and the gorgeous ones bad in bed. By and large mostly great performances and I've wouldn't have seen any of the ladies in the first place if I found them unattractive.
I was wondering if guys here have similar experiences. You don't have to say who, but do your best of the best in appearances lists match up with your best of the best performance?
Maybe it's because Im so choosy to start with, I had my best experiences with both drop dead gourgeous women and those that were surely attractive but not Playboy centerfold material(I know Im showing my age here using Playboy as a reference point alas).
Maybe Ive just been lucky so far.
The two go together like a hand in a glove (no pun intended). Put it this way, when it comes to a meal I can enjoy a drive in diner or dive. When it comes to a sexual partner, I def seek upscale companionship
From my hobbying, the donation usually matches the appearance/performance.
$$ = decent look, half-hearted performance
$$$ = cute, fun times
$$$$ = HOT, very fun 
It's not set in stone, of course I'm just speaking in generalities. But I've seen more of a correlation between price/performance than appearance/performance.
In the civvie world though, I've had a couple 10's, a couple 2's and everything in between. In my experience, the closer I got to 10, the worse the performance (and vice versa). The best lay I ever had was a 26 year old who was about 5'4" 280 lbs, she was a 5/10 (but a great personality). Open to experimenting, roleplay, outfits, insatiable drive... best I ever had.
I've seen some correlation to this but generally, the $$$ to looks to performance relationship, from my experience has never been this clear cut. Seeing how people rate looks in many of the reviews, even that is subjective. Similarly, performance can vary from client to client just depending on the mood of each party. Just enjoy, experiment and keep moving on!
I saw one provider who typically got 9's and 10's across the board, frankly I didn't think she was quite that cute and the performance didn't leave a lasting impression. I've seen scary pics in some of these ads where the girls are asking $$$, but I wouldn't give them the spare change in my pocket. I know it's not a guaranteed formula to match donation to appearance/performance, and you're right that it still heavily depends on the hobbyist, the time of day, and 100 other factors.
I guess my point was that in regards to the OP, I saw a more clear cut correlation with looks vs performance in the civvie world.
I love athletic types, both in real life (SO is a former track star) and in the hobby...tall and slim, or petite...breast size is open, as long as it fits the rest of the frame, and is youthful in appearance
If it's free, I rarely turn down an opportunity. But if I'm hobbying, I want relatively thin, tall preferred but short is fine, hair (on her head) is irrelevant, as long as the boobs are natural. My SO has some meat on her, I'm not gonna pay for basically what I get at home. Send in the spinners!
I agree there is a performance price correlation, but there would have to be. A lady can't get off consistently charging 4 bills (or more) if she doesn't have a reputation to back it up (unless she charges more and sees a lot fewer guys). But I think among the ladies I've seen that have been 3 and a half bills or more, almost all have been good and worthy of a recommend or second visit, but my original point is that for me, the best of the best in performance weren't the hottest ones I saw.
Even in regards to having a "type," I go back and forth between slender with a bubble butt and someone with more meat on their bones...and a bubble butt.
After thinking about it more, I think it's just more a chemistry thing. Among my favorites, there was just this incredible chemistry that wasn't necessarily based in looks.
Also, now that I go back through my written (and unwritten) reviews, I actually haven't seen anyone (who maintains TER reviews) that has a 9+ appearance rating, while I've seen a few that have had 9+ or pretty damn close in performance. Maybe I should make a point to see someone who's crazy hot and see if my initial point still stands...

I try to focus on making the next experience the best one, whether it is with a lady I have seen, or a new lady to enjoy. I do a lot of research and preparation, try to set the atmosphere, making sure the connection will be there. For me, that is what is best - making the most of our time together and that usually comes with a genuine connection. We don't have to talk a lot to have that connection, either. You know it when it happens and you both enjoy each other's company.
For me, my motto is: Short and tall, big and small, I love them all!
Because I see only the best looking ladies, I do not have enough data to arrive at a definitive conclusion.
For me, an attractive lady improves my performance. So what if she just lay there.
appearance can greatly influence evaluation of performance. And I think it's largely true. If you're having a great/hot time with a lady who is also really hot looking/sexy/gorgeous (by your standards) then your memories of that experience will trump a perhaps similar performance by a less attractive lady. It's awfully difficult to sort out what caused this particular performance to be highly memorable vs. a previous on; atmosphere, her appearance (particularly as it matches up to what you find attractive/hot) and of course how you both perform.
So perhaps the answer is that most of us try really hard to pick out providers that look like what we find attractive and who appear to offer services we're interested in. When that works we have a great time; when either the looks or the performance are less than what we expected, we're disappointed (though perhaps still made pretty happy).
Most of my great times have been with truly attractive ladies, because I seek them out, who are also very high performing. So I don't know which counts the most to me. I have wonderful times with lovely ladies who are exceedingly hot in bed, and that's why I do this.
I think age (experience) is more of a factor than looks. Practice makes perfect and all that. Also, I think the age of the monger makes a difference. I'm not a 20 year old dating a more mature provider and so no hang-ups there for me.

I have to say I have a certain profile I am looking for that includes being very attractive. And the performance does vary greatly, but overall I have been with some very attractive ladies whose performance was off the charts great, too. But I have to say the most attractive I know doesn't have the greatest performance, it comesu a little short. But she's still my ATF for other reasons. And I know a couple ladies who are regulars who others would say aren't quite as attractive, but I have weak knees for the rest of the week after spending an evening with them

I had a girl from NC who used neck down pictures. Sounded great on the phone, but when I showed up she looked a little rough (some acne). But, she could move her body and did that hip action in the horizontal position. She was gone the next day and I could not write a review.
Looking back, I would do it again simply because she could do the horizontal mombo.
Looks become meaningless when most providers just lay there and make sounds.
