Given the level of effort and no out of pocket cost to “advertise” on twitter (simply by having a presence), I would say it’s definitely beneficial. There are now clients who strictly use twitter to find providers, there are other clients who use twitter along with reviews to find ladies. It’s great in helping determine compatibility.
I have set out to put together a twitter guide for clients and providers alike (life has been hectic so I haven’t had the time I wanted to devote to it, but will be able to push it out sometime in Feb). I asked for feedback from clients about what they like or don’t like about twitter. Here are some excerpts, verbatim, that I was given permission to share when I did:
“Dear Priya -- Since you asked, let me say that I've found Twitter to be a remarkably enjoyable way both to interact with potential future companions as well as stay connected with previous partners in various cities. I don't find it counterintuitive at all, and often use Twitter as a way to get a sense of someone's personality, then if there's a potential match, I would check out her web site and make contact via email. Hope that's helpful. “
“Love the idea of using Twitter in the SW community. As a Client I have found this allows me a opportunity to learn about a companion prior to meeting. Would we have a connection, would we have similar likes or dislikes, would we enjoy our time together? These are aspects I am interested in when seeing someone. The financial and beauty aspect can also be better I sers-toi via her tweets. These are my observations...”
“In response to your tweet on the pro/con on Twitter. As a client, I think the pro is to be able to meet ladies outside of my area. The con is sometime ladies doesn't separate business from personal views. When this happen ladies open themselves to criticism of their personal view that some clients might disagrees with and get turned off on seeing them.”
While the purpose of twitter is sharing your stream of consciousness, in regards to safety you can share whatever you want. I rarely tweet my present location (outside of what city I am in). I also remove the location tags from my tweets. If I am posting a photo, I often try to ensure the background is nondescript or send once I’ve left the premises. You can set your profile to private as well if you would like to filter who is looking.
I hope that is helpful and would be happy to DM you once I finish my formal writing on the subject on my blog. It is just intensive and I’ve been trying to collect (meaningful) data and process it - much like a research project, it is time intensive!
