I agree completely that this board is steadily losing it's meaningful discussions, and deteriorated to TaTa Tuesday and mindless banter--it's fun once in a while to see that stuff, but it has become painful to see the board being exploited for free publicity and the like. I miss the likes of BED and others also...
There was once upon a time, a constant presence on this board by the Blue Eyed Doc (BED). He wrote some of the most prosaic and elucid, almost romantic poetry in his reviews (which were very long). I know some people move or move on, but I had not seen his posts for a long time and thought maybe he changed his name or left the scene. anyone, anyone, Ferris?
He is tired of the non-sense that has been going on lately so he chooses not to post and not to write reviews. However rest assure that he is looking in from the shadows!
As what one might consider as an old timer, I suspect there are a lot of us still out there, but not as active on the board. We come (lol) and go........We miss some of the more substantive discussions that have occurred and once in a while provide good insights and thoughts, but there is also a lot of uninspiring chatter. Of course, we could get more active again and try to stimulate what we think is more substantive. On the other hand...

It's a tough call. The old guard, is/was awesome. We had some excellent discussions, and everyone participated.
There was no BS about anything but the hobby, and we all got along well. The rules were all there, but no one thought about them, as we all respected them.
Now we have providers coming out the ears with ads (since BD died), and newbies that can't figure out how to use the search feature, they just want someone to tell them what they want to know...
Get's kinda frustrating for us folks that did it ourselves...
Which I do not have and only sporatically get after a review of a new lady, which is something that is a rare event for me, as I prefer to go with the tried and true repeats. I think I have my answer already. I thought he had changed his name to a different alias. But that is not true.
So the doc got his reviews deleted, glad I got to read them. They had inspired me initially when I found TER to write more than two sentences in the juicy section, like so many are doing these days. It was like reading penthouse forum letters from an english major. Each one was different too. Not the old copy & paste from the previous review, like so many are doing these days. Some of us appreciate the creativeness that some go to. Some ladies claim we are being to creative, that we write things that do not happen in a session. So lets keep it honest too.
