What the hell does not objective mean! After submitting close to 50 reviews, I would think I knew exactly what TER deemed exeptable or not. But of 4 current reviews I submitted one was unapproved because of a bad website but when I used the link it worked just fine. The other of Kayce Monroe who happens to be one of my favorites was rejected for not being objective enough. I mean hell follow the play by play I wrote. If the review seems bias towards her maybe it's because she did a good ass job and not that she bribed me to write a good review. Come on TER get it together
As for the website, these sites change and go down and up quite frequently. My guess is it was off line when TER tried to go to it. It was down for whatever reason. Seems to happen all the time. BTW, it does seem like they are on some new kick, right now. I have a few to get through so I guess I'll just have to see what happens. No wonder so many posters to this board don't bother to review anymore.
Start out EVERY review with... "It was a dark and stormy night...." It creates a mood that seems to lull the review staff...
Make at least 3 references to how she was the beautiful woman you'd ever seen. Don't skimp with 2, or it'll be rejected. The review reviewers are romantics at heart (this is common knowledge).
Always be sure to say you came at least 3 times. Sure, everybody knows nobody every really comes, but lots of guys like to brag about how many times they came, so it's sort of expected now. Seriously, how many times have you read. "Well, I popped twice and would have had a third but she threw me out." Yeah, right. LOL!
Hope this helps.
Oh crap. Does anyone know if whiskey will wreck a keyboard?
Many of the providers I like to see have had there TER profiles removed from this site. The reviewers said some things that the providers did not like.
What you are talking about is DELISTING. Yes, several VERY good providers have voluntarily delisted themselves from TER for reasons similar to what you mention. One very well known gal (to many of us) delisted herself because she became convinced that some other providers were posting bogus reviews about her (so it isn't only hobbyists). There are reasons why they did which I can't mention out on board (so pm me if you are curious).
As for providers not liking what certain hobbyists say about them, part of the problem there is TER's own rules. I had one gal who felt a review I wrote was too graphic. However, I wanted to give her a very high performance score. From previous experience, I knew that TER would reduce my score if I did not thoroughly substantiate it, so I did. As anyone who has conducted reviews knows, TER wants the juicy details thorougly mentioned. Anyway, the lady got the high score, but not without cost. Since, I saw derogatory mention on the now defunct Marilyn's Diary of hobbyists in general as posting "kiss and tell" type reviews.
My point is that as hobbyist reviewers, it seems like we are damned by the providers if we ARE graphic and damned by TER if we are NOT. No wonder I don't write as many reviews anymore.
Don't know what it does to keyboards but it SURE would do wonders for ME right now. Yet another time that I had an appointment scheduled with a provider and somebody ELSE got it. Why is it we always have to pay the penalty when the provider's administrative staff screws it up? Oh let's see, some Jack Daniels, Crown Royal or such? Anything would be better than nothing right now (and that is what I seem to be stuck with).
Not much experience? One would sure think that is the way it is since TER approval staff have been treating you just like the rest of us.
Now all you people that think jeop gets preferential treatment, just give it a rest. If ANYBODY has been getting "special treatment" it is me. Only problem is, MY special treatment has been ABUSE (and not the way I like it, either). Lex, do you have an extra FIFTH handy? I promise I won't consume it at parties or meet and greets...;~~})
Last night I saw a provider that I liked; I would give her a 9/8 (9/9 if not for TER rules). We have something in common, so a personal connection. I dread writing a review because I would rather not make it too graphic.
By the way, I still haven't written a review on my regular whom I see bi-weekly.
It was a dark and stormy night. Gertrude, my Craig's List goddess, was about 12 hours late. She hadn't called, and I was beginning to wonder if she was going to make it. Though I'd never actually met Gertrude before, or even spoken to her on the phone, I knew this wasn’t like her. That single, day-old review was all the evidence I needed that she was a good gal.
I began to wonder if Gertrude's assistant Igor had delivered my message...I didn't like that guy from the moment I first spoke to him...asking all those personal questions like "What day would you like?" and "How long of an appointment do you want?" So I tell him off... "What business is that of your, your little creep?"....but he whines, insists he needs a day and time to set up an appointment, so I throw him a bone...
