This is the oldest profession in the world, they do it for the money, the better ones know how to fake it so that you feel special, the ones who are honest, don't fake it, they just pop you and move on to the next one!

Few years back providers were there to "provide" .Though it was cheaper, but price is not the matter. Hobbyist are ready to pay for what they are supposed to get/want. You could get providers at CL or on the streets. Didn't really mattered, excellent service and attitudes. Now there are many providers, and technology has made it easier to find providers, however, quality wise I believe it is going backwards.

I strongly feel like we, hobbyists who spend their hard earned cash are actually there to "provide" the providers. We have to make provider happy, instead we should be happy. It is always good to be in win-win side, both party being happy and satisfied; but it is like 51% provider and 49 % hobbyist. Providers' rules, regulations, technical, mechanical, etc etc etc.....................

Although there are plenty of real "providers", but the market is not booming for those real ones like our economy. Instead it is shrinking. I think two things are happening

1. Good ones are coming less in the business
2. Good ones are retired from the business quicker

I find that the "real" and "good" providers have kind of fallen off. Even from a couple of yrs back. Ones that I had seen in the area are no longer available.

Now You really have to sift through the muddy waters to finally find one.

Disclaimer - Being a great "provider" I am biased.

I think guys are fooling/playing themselves more often than they would like to admit.

Off hand I can think of 3 ladies who are awesome, but their clients - regulars even - take them for granted, stand them up, and are always trying to get discounts. Since seeing an escort is a non-essential, I think trying to bargain is futile. Save your money instead.

So in the quest for good talent at a "low" price our beloved guys go out and see the the worst kind of ladies. And we ladies see the reviews thinking - "He wasted all that time and money when if hé wasn't being stubborn could have had an amazing time with me." We also recognize that being a quality provider is not as easy to be or find. So our demand goes up, as do our rates. Old "friends" who had they stayed loyal would have received a message they were being grandfathered, instead are bitter crying "Where is all the good talent?" We are here, just busy with guys who adore us.

Those loyal and respectful to me know I value them, and they get all kinds of perks. I also know better than most it's 5 times harder to get a new client than it is to retain and old one - yet he has to want to stay, and demonstrate this to me.

I am the first to preach this is a business, but I am no fool, and recognize they is a human/emotional factor one cannot ignore if they plan to be successful. I use successeful to mean getting what you want in the end and feeling good about how you got there.

Finally, SEX 101 - if you want a lady to have sex (especially good sex) with you she has to feel comfortable and safe with you. Often the hoops ladies make a gentleman jump through is her way of feeling secure.

Sorry to hear you're not enjoying this as much as you used to.  Maybe I've just been lucky enough to have an amazing set of ladies taking care of my urges.

what type of personality you have.

I've mongered at all price points and it really is just Pu$$y for a price.  I've made connections with $.5 and $$$$ providers per hour.  

Do you need it now or can you plan.  Do you like variety or do you get obsessed with one person who is a good lay.  

I ask for discounts and get them all the time - I also see woman at anytime of the day.  The women want you to think their price in not negotiable, but behind closed doors its a different story.  They just don't want other providers knowing their giving discounts.  Economy is tough, why do you think there are a $hitload of visiting providers here.

 

I think you are being a little too extreme in your position? I am sure that there are quite a few women who do enjoy the business. Doesn't mean that the will do it for free. Just like we enjoy our jobs like Doctors/Lawyers/Engineers. Does that mean we will work for free?

Sure there are subset of women who are in this for a quick buck. Or when they fall back on their bills they post a Backpage ad. But again there are those who take the business seriously and add value to the hobby, and it definitely shows. It shows in how they handle communication, and how they present themselves, and how they deal with unpleasant situations.

You just can't paint everyone with same broad brush

Cold Luke makes some excellent points here. It's important to plan it out before you decide to see a provider.  A last minute decision can bring unwanted consequences. Every hobbyist wants the best value for the money, but I learned the hard way that a higher fee may not equal higher service. It's like paying for first class seats and getting bumped to coach.

Be that as it may, I have noticed a drop in the number of providers in our area. If you look at Eros, ads are repeated in subsequent pages to create the illusion of greater variety. At least two agencies in Florida, and one in N.Y. that were sending touring providers suffered at the hands of their Inquisitors. When they disappeared, I immediately noticed that touring levels began to drop. Separating the chaff from the wheat has gotten more difficult.

It depends on the attributes of the provider that you are looking at.

For my tastes I find the opposite. The providers today are much cleaner, brush their teeth, use mouth wash, no smelly underarms, offer towels/wash clothes for incall. More willing try new things such as greek and other things that are not normally on the menu. More are willing to let guys take pictures and video. I am finding GFE (bbbj, daty, dfk, good fucking) on a regular basis.

Many new ladies tell me on a regular basis about guys wanting bbbj without taking a shower.

This year I have seen many new providers and many of them have never heard of astroglide. A few young ones never heard of the missionary position, lol.

I am a happy man because today hobby dollars go alot further. I am find that many will go multiple rounds to give you as many pops as you want. This month I spent $940 on 4 different providers. One 2 hour appointment and 3 1 hour appointments. I would not been able to that a few years ago. The cbj ones were $150-$180/hour. The bbbj/gfe ones were $200-$220/hour.

Let me start by saying that I'm a very loyal and consistent person in most things -- I used the same bank for 42 years, worked for the same emloyer for over 45, and haven't missed a single home game of my football team for 39 years.  So I firmlt believe that loyalty and consistentcy are important on both sides of the hobby.  Vanica expressed that well from the provider viewpoint.  When I find someone who gives good service, I stick with them.  In return, I find that I get increasingly better service.

Research is vital.  Because of the "loyalty" factor, I see relatively few different providers, but I am constantly researching.  You need to read between the lines and sense the attitude of the reviewer and weight thier reviews accordingly.  Except for one somewhat impulsive date on the road, I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed.  

A previous poster added personality as an important factor.  I agree.  I can't objectively describe my personality completely, but I'm certain that I'm cheerful, polite and considerate.  I think most providers will respond positively to those characteristics and provide better service as a result.

Call me old fashioned if you must, but I consider it tacky to haggle over the price.  If the asking price is more than the value I place on the services to be provided, I just take my business elsewhere.  If you coerce a provider into a cheaper rate, you should expect the service to be discouted, too.  If you can't find what you're looking for at a price you want to pay, buy yourself a porno CD and jerk off

Especially in DC.  I have found more ladies I would like to go back and see than I have time or money to do so.

I suspect a lot of it has to do with what you think the definition of "good providing" is.  If you found that CL and street were your definition of good service and good attitudes I suspect you and I have different definitions.  That does not mean yours is wrong, but I suspect it is more that the good ones are not found on CL/BP/outside, etc.
