Frankly, I agree 110%.  While its not my primary focus...if the ad is so screwed up that I have to read it more than twice to make heads or tails of what the woman is saying....I'm not going for it.  Regardless of how attractive she is.

Case in point, I use Eros-DC.  Its far from perfect, but its better than most.  I refuse to look at backpage or cityvibe because it seems like every single girl on there has some F'd up caps lock.  dO YoU wannnA cUM wyth mi....seriously???  I have no burning desire to f##k the mentally retarded.  I want a woman of class, beauty, and sophistication.  I pursue this hobby to enjoy life and to share time with someone I have sought out as special...NOT special ed.  Lol

Do typos and/or bad grammar turn you off when checking out a provider or screening?

I'm not saying that while I am DATY'ing I am thinking about whether she knows when you use they're versus their, but still. I think awful grammar in an ad, or on a website is a sign of boring conversation to come during the "down time."

Maybe I am too picky?

Bad grammar turns me off when I am DATY'ing, especially when she sprinkles it with swear words.

Some truly fabulous ladies come in grammatically incorrect packages!

I used to be like you. I still love perfect grammar, good use of punctuation, coherent sentences - basically just love good English, and its not even my mother tongue.  However, I've been much more lenient lately.  Some girls who are horrible at spelling have proved that they are great at sucking cock.

Some people just don't have well developed writing skills, or don't care to put enough effort in writing well.

Even, employers are getting more and more lenient with English these days, unless you are in a leadership position or in working in a position that is client/public facing.

I understand and agree with that 100%. There are some people in my office that seem to struggle with basic writing skills.

When it comes to providers, I just seem to connect bad grammar and spelling errors with them not able to hold a real conversation. Granted, I am not reserving time with a girl to talk about foreign policy, but a little intelligence turns me on as much as a great rack.

...that good grammar is a good sign of intelligence.  I have met some truly gifted thinkers and conversationalists who don't give a rat's ass about grammar, and who can still communicate thought-provoking ideas without perfect sentence structure (sometimes in 25 words or less - so, I'm not one of those).  I personally like well-structured prose, but I try to not let it or the absence of it influence my perception of an individual's intelligence or social skills.

For web sites, etc., yes, spell-check is a nice touch.  But I wouldn't concern myself so much with this.  There are some wonderful people out there, who if judged by their grammar and sentence structure alone, might be unfortunately excluded from enhancing your life experience.

You're dead on!
Im possibly the woooorst with grammar, in fact I make up my own grammar and punctuation Lol but I consider myself a good conversationalist and Im able to keep up with guys who have twice my education and life experience.
I blame some of it on the fact that Im text and FB crazy. Im so use to abbreviating everything and shortening everything that it transfers to places like this.

I agree that on a website clear, well written thoughts are 100% necessary but here on TER I just dont take it that seriously...maybe I should! Lol

REMEMBER often you're dealing with young women who are still in college and/or learning life skills....not your work colleagues so dont be so uptight about things like this

However, I disagree on one thing with you, since I'm not a gifted thinker.... let alone a thinker because my mind is usually cloudy just trying to get over a hangover, lmao

BTW, hi slippery! ;)

Yes, I agree too. I am sure you are not alone. I think a refresher course in Marketing would be helpful. Typos and bad grammar equals poor brand image.

Personally (possible because I'm more a leg man than breast man) I find intelligence more important than above-average breasts.  If the reason a girl is horribly top-heavy is because she can't figure out the difference between a C and a FF is because she doesn't care to look at the keyboard when typing her augmentation application....then we have a problem.

Part of a great sale is presentation.  I'm more apt to go out for something presented nicely than something thrown out on the curb for Goodwill pickup.

UGH

and,

All the other "popular" computer related acronyms have been added to the up-to-date dictionary.

And they, who ever they are call it "words" with more means than you can shake a stick at.

hum

"Comes" in ALL forms!

There/their/they're a lot to pick apart........

Kindness goes a long way.

Instead of answering each message I agree or disagree (Sara!!) :-) with, I will make a clarifying statement.

As a whole, I meant girls that TyPe LykE Dis or use 100 abbreviations that require me to go to Urban Dictionary to figure out that she is having an incall special.

I'm not saying that if a girl does not proofread and makes a typo, that she will overlook other important things and cannot be seen (condoms, washing the front and back, etc) :-)

A well thought out, well written ad is much more likely to catch my eye than some ad full of hieroglyphic/Wingding font like writing.

Something came over me, White.  Couldn't help myself...

Thanks, Slip.

Simple typos are no big deal to me... but use of gangsta phrases and shortened/abbreviated words annoy the everloving piss out of me....

Subject lines or ads with "Hit me back" or "Holla at me" tend to get skipped! Same can be said when talking with a provider... If she sounds like a thug I'm not interested...

There have been ladies with spectacular ads with quite well drafted information but when you speak with them its obvious that someone either wrote it for them or they copied it off someone elses ad...

Just not my thing... I tend to lose sexual interest in people one cannot have a conversation with.

Very well said, as I agree with you 100%.

Thank you for making my point more clear.

Foggarty~

I agree with you...but its more than a "thug" thing.  I include that with my comments about class and presentation.  Generally speaking, I'm looking for something that far exceeds what I can get on any average day on the street.  My time, money, and wood are valuable.  In this economy...I have to be judicious about where/how I spend my time and money.  And in this regard a COMPLETE PACKAGE is a qualifier for me.  Settling for someone with a special ed vocabulary or presentation isn't going to work.  Not for me.

some solusions fer yer problem.
1)maybi she didnt right the ad; someone else did.
2)she culd be dicksleksic
3)she failed 5th grade english while living in brasil
4) have her submit a kompostion or book report before making an appointment.
or......just read her reviews and see if she can provide what you're looking for and after seeing her go enroll in a creative writing course.
remember...you don't go to the fruit store to buy lamb chops.

There is a difference in gentlemen that like quality, well rounded women versus guys that will sleep with any scag that walks by.

I often repeat with girls I click with, and its important that she has the ability to have a conversation about something other than getting trashed at the bar, Jersey Shore or her last client's body odor.

put these lapses aside if her pix are fucking hott (note intentional mis-spelling for emphasis) and her reviews are amazing.  You should, too.

I fail to see WTF difference it makes about a lady's grammar. She's not grading your kid's school papers. She's there to fuck the taste out of your mouth, right?

I bet if your kid's teachers were as hot as some of these ladies, you'd be at each and every parent/teacher conference! ;)

Mostly it's just something that causes me to chuckle.  It only bothers me if a girl is specifically marketing herself as an elite courtesan.

It used to bother me more than it does now, partly from dating civvy women who make the same basic errors.
